"Yeah, apologise. Race has nothing to do with if I think someone's a rat or not. I reckon I might think you're a bit of a rat if I met you, for example."

Re: Paris Olympics 2024
"Mr Kenzo 4:13 Mon Jul 22 ""its a graffiti playground a right fucking armpit"" This is a an interesting point. On three recent European trips I have made (Italy, Poland and Germany), I have been struck by just how much grafitti there seems to be everywhere compared to the UK. Is this a known thing? Maybe I just haven't noticed it so much before?"

"Yes, Trundle is a racist rather than scared of mammals. Get it right IOC are finding it harder & harder to get cities prepared to host We had all this nonsense before 2012 & suspect like London Paris will be a magnificent backdrop to the events & be a big success Not sure about breakdancing in the Olympics but hey ho there is enough variety for everyone"

Re: Paris Olympics 2024
Trundle showing himself to be the ignorant bigoted thick moronic cսnt that he is. How many times you been to Paris ? I spent in total 4 years there. Never once saw a rat . My London base is in Kensington not far from the Cromwell Road SW5. I‚Äôve seen plenty of massive rats running into the basements . In Stockholm you can almost tread on them . Paris is a beautiful city with amazing architecture . You are a fucking moron

"haha I've not had the misfortune to visit there, CS. Bit I'll take your word for it. A MATE who was over there for the Euros said it's as bad as Philadelphia's Kensington Avenue (the one with all the YouTube videos of people cracked out of their heads) for drugs."

Re: Paris Olympics 2024
"The left wing woman Mayor, Anne Hidalgo, has done an amazing job. She's cleaned up the River Seine and transformed Paris unto a green cycle friendly city in just a few years. Meanwhile, what have the deregulation obsessed Tories done to our rivers and cities? Our rivers are open sewers thanks to the privatisation and weak regulation imposed on us by the small state Tories. Anyway, apparently they'll lose 10 percent of their electoral base through demographic change by the next election. They should be renamed the Extinction Party."

Armed police will be on duty for the Paris olympics...unarmed police for the paralympics...
Re: Paris Olympics 2024
"They're banned from the opening ceremony but their athletes can compete as neutrals. I laughed when I saw the response from Russia was to state the IOC was guilty of neo-Nazism, seems to be their favourite line nowdays"

Re: Paris Olympics 2024
Love the random events when you have no idea what's going on. Are Russia still banned? Fingers crossed for another 3rd place finish for UK and some feel good factor for a change
Re: Paris Olympics 2024
"I like it best before the athletics start. When you flick the TV on, and they're covering some fringe sport that you've never seen on TV before, with some commentator explaining wht's happening. Now that's entertainment!"
Re: Paris Olympics 2024
"Looking forward to the athletics Keely Hodgkinson a big favourite for the 800m after a dominant win yesterday, and could be joined on the podium by either Reekie or Bell (that's 2 people, not Reekie-Bell!). Really looking forward to the mens 1500m as well. Ingebrigstein clearly one of the fastest in the world but beaten by Wightman and Kerr in consecutive World Championships and going up against Kerr again which will be exciting but don't discount Danny Mills son George Mills who has qualified for both the 1500m and the 5000m. Charlie Dobson, essex boy, moving up to 400m has had a cracking season too and could sneak a medal but it will be tough to beat in-form Hudson-Smith. Outside of GB you've got Sifan Hassan who has qualified fore 1500m, 5000m, 10000m AND the Marathon and whilst no-one will ever match the 5000,10000,Marathon golds of Emil Zatopek in the same games, it's exciting to see someone with such range. She won't compete in all, but will be interesting to see which events. Eliud Kipchoge is looking to pick up his 3rd Marathon Gold but will face competition from another Olympic legend and veteran Keninisa Bekele, who at 42 has been written-off a few times but has come back with some impressive performances. But there are plenty of Ugandan, Ethiopan and Kenyan world class runners out there so this won't be easy for the ageing Kipchoge and Bekele,"

Re: Paris Olympics 2024
"Where does the 45% come from? Google told me : International Testing Agency (ITA) re-analysis of samples from the London 2012 Olympics led to 73 anti-doping rule violations and the withdrawal of 31 medals, final figures show. Russian athletes were responsible for 21 of the rule violations, the most of any country, while weightlifting was the sport accounting for the most positive re-tests with 36. A further 28 came from athletics. No other sport was responsible for more than three. Russia lost 13 medals through the process, including 10 silver. Belarusian athletes were found to have committed 11 anti-doping rule violations, Ukrainians seven and Kazakhstanis six. Kazakhstan also lost the most gold medals, four. Of the eight total gold medals removed, five were in weightlifting."

Re: Paris Olympics 2024
Dont recall much at the Euros but the Olympics with multiple events & venues including outdoors is much more vulnerable. I see there is a Diamond League meeting at London Stadium today. Looks pretty well sold out with a few £35 upper level tickets left Presume it still costs the taxpayers £8m to put everything back again

Re: Paris Olympics 2024
"wonder how many protests we will see? will French plod be getting the tear gas and water canons out? Palestinians, just stop oil, extinction rebellion and good few others have said already they will use the opportunity to show THE WORLD and highlight their particular issue, throw in the French love a riot anyway and no doubt the Russians will be stirring the pot in any way they can then it could be an interesting 2 weeks. ...."
