Re: Paris Olympics 2024
Amused to see that on American tv they rearrange the medal table so instead of listing on golds it’s on total medals All those bronze medals have the Yanks at number 1 you won’t be surprised to hear USA ! USA! What a bunch of drugged up cunts

Re: Paris Olympics 2024
"The Commonwealth Games sees England compete separately along with Scotland, Wales etc Same with football You saw the reaction of Scots when England progressed at the Euros. SURELY when they were out they should back England over foreigners if Great Britain means anything at all. Just think English fans would prefer to support England at the Olympics not carry a bunch of whining Celts Bad enough propping up the economic basket cases with our taxes Just my opinion"

"Svender, needs to realise Australia is basically England, Scotland, Wales & N.Ireland + ROI + A mash up of other European nations….so they don’t really have any medals….."

"""Team GB is officially 'Great Britain & Northern Ireland Olympic Team'"" It's odd that you've posted that, yet you seem to have the most trouble understanding it, Sven."

Re: Paris Olympics 2024
"Amazing comeback from Yee. Looked dead and buried 800 metres from home. And the women in the fours. Talk about leaving it late. Superb superb drama. On another note, it feels like we are getting absolutely hosed in the boxing. 5/5 lost in the first round so far and at least three of them looked to have clearly been ahead before some very dubious split decisions with big last round swings. One opponent even apologised to the British boxer. Somethjng fishy going on. It’s beyond simple bad luck…"

Re: Paris Olympics 2024
What a morning for Team GB. Alex Yee and the rowing girls both winning gold in spectacular fashion. Brilliant viewing. Great Britain takes its rightful place above Australia in the medal standings. I knew it wouldn't take long.

Re: Paris Olympics 2024
"I've done Clay pigeon shooting and once you get your eye in it's not as difficult as you think. I was a complete novice. Out of 25 tries I hit 15 I think, maybe more, majority of the misses were my first 10 or so attempts. You soon realise that you aim at the area it will arrive at approx a second later not the target itself."
Re: Paris Olympics 2024
"""How they can bit a clay rocketing across them in less than second is amazing."" Shame they took Double Trap, off the Olympic events list, last time out. I'm amazed they hit one target so frequently, let alone two. Zeb - is your ""time limit,"" the 3 Position 50 metres rifle, that's shot in the Olympics?"
Re: Paris Olympics 2024
The trap was great (I remember sniggering at Ball Trap signs in France as a kid). I shoot small bore and am very good at time limit but this is different gravy. How they can bit a clay rocketing across them in less than second is amazing. The 4x200m freestyle guys just nailed it and made winning gold look easy.

Re: Paris Olympics 2024
What a fantastic swim by those four lads in the 4 x 200 metre freestyle to bring home the gold. They all seem like proper decent lads too. Get in.
