Aaron Wan-Bissaka Signed

Post Alan »

"OS West Ham United complete signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka West Ham United is delighted to announce the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The right-back, 26, joins the Hammers from Manchester United on a seven-year contract for an undisclosed fee. The Londoner moves to London Stadium after making 190 appearances for the Red Devils across five seasons, during which he developed into one of the best one-on-one defenders in the Premier League, won the FA Cup, EFL Cup and started a UEFA Europa League final. The Crystal Palace Academy graduate has been a Premier League regular since the age of 19, appeared 35 times in European competitions and been capped by England at Under-21 level. Now, he will continue his career in his home city. “It was a no brainer for me to join West Ham – I’m excited and happy to be here,” said the 26-year-old, who will wear the No29 shirt. “It’s an amazing feeling to be back in London, and I’m excited for what’s coming. I was born here, so I know the ins and outs of London, which plays a big part in my life, so to be back playing in this city means a lot to me. “I’m happy to be here, am grateful for the warm welcome, and I am excited to be playing for the Club and will give it my all. “I can’t wait to get on the pitch, get to know the players, and push on from there. I see a team that is in it together, that will push each other to win, and a group that has got each others' backs through thick and thin, so being part of that and having that insurance helps a lot when you are surrounded by a good squad.” Obi-Wan spacer"

I read up on him and apparently he was a winger and converted to defence pretty late on in his development. So I don’t get how he doesn’t know how to go forward? Young player of the year then player of the year at palace before moving to Man U. Just 10 minutes on the pitch and you can see he’s a baller. I just don’t understand? I just think Man U ruins players or at least your perception of them. Man U are the Bermuda Triangle of football. Who knows what the fuck goes on in that club?

What was the nonsense thar he’s only good defensively (like that’s a negative for a defender)? Lovely stride out from full back for the first.

"Foderingham - third choice, third rate goalkeeper Klman - unapped defender from a relegation rivsl whom he shelled FORTY MILLION POUNDS on Todibo - Barcelona reject aigned from a shit league Wan-Bisaka - Man Utd reject mercenary who stalled coming here over MONEY Rodriguez- unproven has been whom Pellegrini has just bombed out of Real Betis Guillherme - unproven kid from Brazil who we have shelled out TWENTY FIVE MILLION POUNDS on, on a punt Fulkrug- immobile 30 something forward who only lasted a season at Dortmund. Sunmerville aside (who I think is a real star in the making), all of the signings are questionable. Yeah, what a great transfer window! Relegation battle ahead. Nailed on."

"Dirtyden - 7 years seems excessive but when u take into account he’d be the same age as Coufal would be when his contract expires it’s not really that bad, especially for a player that’s a huge upgrade I’ve had two spurs mates text me this afternoon saying you’ve just signed the best defensive full back in the league I’ve been supporting West Ham since ‘91 and this is hands down the best starting XI we’ve had in that time Remains to be seen if we have a manager that can get them to all play together but I’ve never looked forward to a season as much as this one Anyone who’s not happy needs to fuck off and support Man City What’s happened this transfer window is what every West Ham fan with a brain has been crying out for since we moved stadium"

"Can he drop into a back three? Seems to have the attributes for it. Wondering if the plan is to have that flexibility to go from a four to a three during matches depending on the situation, given his perceived weakness going forward from full back. 7 year contract is a long one though...."

"""Bombed out as clearly deemed not good enough by Ten Haag."" Is that the same Ten Haag that had the first dibs as players at his former club and still let us poach the two best ones? Doesn't scream out as a ringing endorsement of a man who understands his job, with or without a six-figure salary involved."

"Man Utd's right back during one of the worst periods in the modern history of the club. Lost his place last season to become their back up/ bench player. Bombed out as clearly deemed not good enough by Ten Haag. Yeah, welcome Aaron 'Man Utd reject mercenary' Wan-Bissaka, son."

"OS Technical Director Tim Steidten expressed his happiness at signing a player who is ready to contribute immediately and will add top-class Premier League quality to Julen Lopetegui’s squad. “I am delighted we’ve been able to get the deal to sign Aaron over the line,” said Steidten. “He’s exactly the type of player we’re looking to attract to this Club in the prime years of his career. “He’s an incredibly talented defender who we rate very highly – superb in one-on-one situations. He’s versatile too, which is clearly another positive. He’s played over 170 Premier League games during his career – he knows the division inside-out. “I’d like to personally thank the Board for their continued backing to bring players of such quality to West Ham. It’s a really exciting time for us as we prepare for the start of the new season this weekend.” Everyone at West Ham United would like to welcome Aaron and his family to east London and wish him every success for his career in Claret and Blue."
