Re: What was the first Hammers game you attended?
Early eighties (82 -84 Arsenal at Upton park won 3.1 Also remember around that time playing them in a fa cup replay thick snow on the ground and rearranged a couple of times. For some reason tickets were to be purchased in advance at the ground so a couple of us bunked off school one lunchtime intent on getting them but got caught by the deputy head enroute to the station. Some glue and empty crisp packets were also discovered about our person so the harsh sanctions that followed meant we never made it to that particular tie.

"Orient (my old man was an O's supporter) back in the early/mid 70's. Was defo at the old girl and am reasonably certain we won, although as I was only 7 or 8 at the time can't be certain."

"Home to forest 1964. We lost 3-2, remember nothing of the day. Fuck knows what possessed my old man to take his 4 year old son to a game but looking back, I'm glad he did."

Re: What was the first Hammers game you attended?
"Just after Christmas 1969, I was 11 years old and my big sister's boyfriend took me and a Spurs mate to White Hart Lane. We won 2-0 with goals from Hurst and Peters. Jimmy Greaves missed a penalty for them. A young Trevor Brooking had not long established himself in the side."

2-2 draw with Southampton a few weeks after we won the World Cup. Stood under the West stand level with the North Bank penalty area. Equalised twice through Hurst and Peters.

"27 March 1954. Everton away and we won 2-1. My uncle was a long distance lorry driver and took me with him, on a trip to Liverpool. I was 9 years old and coming from a family of hammers, I was already hooked. My next game was a home match with my Dad."

"Sadly not having an Auntie Rose, I never had the pleasure till I was well into my flatulent forties. Was stuck up at the back of the East Stand behind a pillar, could hardly hear a thing and I loved every minute of a 1-1 draw with QPR (Joe Cole). The Duke after with chim and his good missus was even better though. I shall be back."

My Auntie Rose kindly took me and my cousin to Upton Park via the Tilbury ferry and up to London on the train.

Home v Chelsea. Early 70s. I remember Moore playing. They had Osgood. I'm sure we won.

"I think it was Wolves, when they were a top side with Billy Wright as captain?"
