"1958,at home, very early in the season. Monday night, I think a 19.00 ko v Man U. I’ve not checked it but we won 3-2 (I think) and it was Bobby Moore’s first team debut. Happy to be corrected."

Re: What was the first Hammers game you attended?
West Ham 3-3 Swindon Town 3rd round of the FA Cup 1967. 7 years old Front row of the South Bank. 1/3d for boys. Went with next brother up (9). No adult required. Dad gave us 2 bob each. World Cup hero Geoff Hurst hat-trick. 23 bus home (the 3d bus fare home was very soon re-allocated bags of chips). Lost the replay 3-1. Such is the life of an Iron. Happy days!

"1966 when I was four. God knows who we played, but along with a milk crate to stand on I was with my Dad where the North Bank met the West Enclosure. Above us in “The Cage” was my two older brother’s."

Anybody remember the sad blokes with shopping bags looking into the TV shop opposite Upton Park station watching the football results just after the match had finished?

1st November 1969. Away to Southampton. My dad took me. 1-1 result. Terry Paine scored for them and a Brooking diving header for us.
Re: What was the first Hammers game you attended?
Home defeat to Everton in October 1984 so 84/85 season. I was 6 and went with my Dad and Grand-dad (RIP). Lost 1-0 and their little striker Adrian Heath scored.
Re: What was the first Hammers game you attended?
"Strodder - yeah, that’s the one. Goldstone was awful for away supporters. I do remember the blue iron railings too. I wasn’t old enough to drink, my Dad took me. I was an aspiring keeper and he said to watch how Parkes positioned himself, who then went on to concede early on at his near post. Think he might have let another shocker in too. I think I’ve got the WH programme somewhere, I’m sure it had Brady on the front."

Re: What was the first Hammers game you attended?
"Man Utd, 1st game of the 64/65 season. I was 12 when my dad decided I was old enough to meet him outside the Cape Asbestos factory in Barking and go to with him to Upton Park. He found me a place at the wall between the corner flag and the goal then he went and stood with his mates behind a barrier in the middle of the South Bank. Great timing because I ended the season at Wembley for the ECWC final."

"Technically my first game was in 1975 when West Ham played at Romford in the Dave Bickles Testimonial Full debut was 27th October 1976 - QPR in the League Cup with my Dad in the East Stand upper, where his season ticket was. Me and Alan Devonshire both made our debuts, one of us went on to become a footballing legend,"
