"Now you’d be hard pressed to find a bigger cynic of him than myself I’ve despised the bloke for years However, this season I can’t fault him He’s putting his money where his mouth is I understand many concession season ticket holders aren’t happy but if the price is this sort of investment you can’t really argue For me 1 of 4 things have happened 1) gold was the tight one 2) he’s had a taste of success with the cup win and he wants more 3) Moyes was an absolute moron that had money to burn but refused it 4) he’s banged his head Thoughts? For me, whatever the reason, long may it continue, and if I feel like he genuinely has the best interests of the club at heart and not his wallet I’m not opposed to him staying And I never thought I’d say that"
Re: Sullivan
"Was not a dig was more saying you will fit in here perfectly. As for Sullivan the issue was always we seem to buy the wrong players, especially strikers. Or just when we need someone in we fail to get it over the line due to some stupid request or change of what was agree. Many others have said they would not deal with him ever again. This new guy does seem to be getting players in but I am not sure at this stage if his buys are great or not. Kilman worries me but I have seen others who I thought would not be any good who were brilliant Dawson a prime example. also other ways around . So the new defensive midfielder looks good, the youngster from Brazil will need a lot of time before he is up to speed. I am trying not to get to excited until I see how all these new players and style works. But if it is not Moyes football that will go a long way for me to give it time."

"Jasnik and Goose You‚Äôre not complaining about the subject of the thread You‚Äôre complaining for the sake of it You‚Äôre not interested in a discussion, you just want something to moan about and get off on it This is supposed to be a football forum, you know about football I‚Äôve been told Moyes has spent this money before, I‚Äôm surprised by that, but I rationally asked for proof, have then been supplied by it without the need for being a cսnt by either party I suspect you two have never been laid by anything under 20 stone or at least anything that remotely resembles a woman And coming on here and acting the big man over what is essentially something incredibly geek like makes you feel somewhat superior cos in real life you don‚Äôt have one"

"maverick180 8:28 Tue Aug 13 Here you go mate…. https://www.football.london/west-ham-united-fc/west-ham-arsenal-man-united-26199344.amp ‘Reports from CIES Football Observatory claim that the Hammers have a net spend of minus €207million (-£183.1m) for this season and since the start of the 2018/19 season, have a net spend of -€435m (-£384.9m) in the past five seasons, the fifth highest in the whole of Europe.’ Not saying you can’t give Sullivan credit for where the club are now, or that you shouldn’t feel optimistic but it’s more down to the great support we have funding the club."

Re: Sullivan
I get the feeling there’s a large amount of the fan base that were either alive during the clubs successful period and resent anyone else getting that feeling or fans that think they’re some sort of die hard fans by supporting a club that never amounts to anything Well fuck that I’m a West Ham fan that wants to win

"I’ve had a terrible last 15 years not gonna go into detail but friends and family have dubbed me the biggest moaner they know I don’t like that moniker at all cos I’m not someone who gets off on moaning (many do) I see some serious light at the end of the tunnel supporting West Ham and it makes me happy I feel I’ve got nothing to moan about and I never expected this level of investment Who can honestly say this window hasn’t shocked them? Get on board, more good times might be ahead"

Re: Sullivan
"If he wanted to attract any half decent manager he would have had to assure them that there would be money available to patch up the smallest, oldest, slowest and most imbalanced squad in the division. He's done nothing exceptional and, as has been said, it's still less than Moyes spent 2 years ago"

Re: Sullivan
"I get it’s not his personal money But last season we didn’t even spend the Rice money, plus the money for Vlasic and Scamacca It’s always seemed to me he wants to make West Ham cash rich so that he makes even more when he sells up I can’t accuse him of that this season And now get the feeling he doesn’t want to sell up and this isn’t a money making scheme for him"

Re: Sullivan
It’s not Sullivan’s money. We are spending what we have generated and can afford to. Which is less currently than what Moyes spent in 22/23.
