"Iron Duke - new style?? There wasn't a new style, it was the same as last season fella. We can forget about getting Duran now, ain't gonna happen, so stuck with the bus pass brigade up top."
Re: West Ham vs. Aston Villa - Team and score predictions
"I didn’t watch the game, but the stats suggest the game was a lot more even than what I am reading here. It’s going to take time for the new players to gel and get comfortable with the new style. Too early to judge."

Re: West Ham vs. Aston Villa - Team and score predictions
"If he does pick a different team for the next game then my question is why didn’t he realise he should’ve done that today, and why didn’t he realise it at half time?"
Re: West Ham vs. Aston Villa - Team and score predictions
Maverick Tend to agree but not on the XI especially after the last friendly. Bassaka for sure as he's played a full pre-season. I would have played Aguerd but he must be off. The lack of youth and still having ings and Cresswell on the bench is a worry. i said for a while Emerson is not as good as people say. We might need to beat Bournemouth in the LC but if Loppy is going to use the old gits then we'll be in trouble. 2 games in a row and pretty much the same tactics and team. I'm not panicking yet but he needs to brave which he hasn't been yet.

"Have a word with myself? It‚Äôs not going to get better anytime soon you say Of course it‚Äôs not He‚Äôs going to play the same team as Moyes You don‚Äôt understand football Some new players take time to settle in, some don‚Äôt, some hit the ground running All do fuck all by sitting on the bench If you was happy with todays line up and expected something better then you‚Äôre a grade A moron And don‚Äôt call me a cսnt, your mums a cսnt for giving birth to you"
Re: West Ham vs. Aston Villa - Team and score predictions
"I was expecting better than this today but fucking hell maverick, have a word with yourself you embarrassing cսnt. I bet you were one of these idiots that thought we were gonna stroll to a 3-0 win. You might want to avoid our games for another couple of months, because there's going to be plenty more of the shit we saw today by the looks of it. Also Bowen was rubbish and very much deserved to be subbed, captain or not."

"Takashi Mike That is exactly the team I‚Äôd of picked Not a single difference Paquet?° playing further back like he does for Brazil And here‚Äôs the thing Some of those players might not of played great, but they wouldn‚Äôt of been any worse than what he played instead And they‚Äôd of learnt from the experience Now were 3 points down and our new players have learnt nothing Unforgivable as far as I‚Äôm concerned"

"Disappointing but not the end of the world, hopefully we see the new signings start in future and some of the old guard relegated to the bench or sold. Kilman needs to do a lot better though, that 40M looks a poor use of money so far, the only other new boy to start was Guido, nothing of much note from him, the others came on as subs but not sure you can draw anything conclusive from any of them. Hopefully for Palace, AWB for Coufal from now on, Todibo for Mavros and that should make the back line better, assuming Kilman starts performing???? Alverez will replace Soucek when hes back and Zee German needs to start instead of Antonio who looks well past his use by date!"

Re: West Ham vs. Aston Villa - Team and score predictions
"I think a decent manager coming in recognises certain players ain’t up to it and can maybe only perform when they’re coming on fresh against players that have been playing for 70+ mins or when injury calls for it In this day and age managers are expected to know the ins and outs of the team they’re playing against and adjust their tactics accordingly I think when you’ve not only got a manager who can’t do that, but also can’t identify who your best players are you’re in deep shit Whatever your take on him is, he’s just thrown 3 points I’ve read he’s expected to get at least 8th by Sullivan with the players he’s given him I don’t think he’s got a chance in hell of getting that on this showing and pricks like Shearer, Merson and Jordan will be laughing their heads off which winds me the fuck up"

Re: West Ham vs. Aston Villa - Team and score predictions
"maverick, I'll admit I was confident before the game but that because I expected more of the new boys to start and hopefully a different shape with the three midfielders. no idea what he's waiting for with bissaka, and surely he's seen enough to have tried todibo straight away. I'm not calling for anything yet, far too early but loyalty to players that have underperformed for far too long, and new contracts for hasbeens is troubling"

Has Moyes actually left the building? Today's team selection and playing style would suggest not. I was really looking forward to watching the new look West ham and went home feeling flat and like id been sold a ringer

Re: West Ham vs. Aston Villa - Team and score predictions
"Hmmm well. Starting line up was a bit disappointing and some of the subs were pretty bizarre. Cannot understand Coufal playing most and Soucek all considering neither were very good. Couldn’t understand Bowen coming off, but I guess Paqueta on a yellow made sense. On the plus point most of the new guys who got some ball looked decent and Kudus looked fantastic. We did at times play some decent stuff. It is very early days for this transition and with a lot new it was inevitable it could be difficult. Added that we were playing a tough opponent who have been playing that way a long time (by the way they are a lot more fuckjng cynical than I remember) We did get further up the pitch as well. Minus points. We were so fucking easy to play through, we let players run with the ball for an age more than a few times and we had holes you could drive a tank through in defence. Worrying how many times they opened us up pretty easily and found loads of space in and around our defence. There were a couple of really rash moments in defence as well and we were lucky they didn’t score more. The corner they scored off was abysmal play. We absolutely struggled to make any inroads into their press for long periods of time. Not great. There are going to be some growing pains clearly and we need to get the likes of todibo and AWB in the starting line up and fast. However very early days against a side who have been very, very good the last 12-18 months and there were a few positives to build on. The next few games don’t get any easier though so we could find our selves right down the bottom of the table in a months time. We need to be patient."

Would you have picked that team though? My guess would be you wouldn’t of And here’s the things he’s supposed to be a professional football manager that can identify weaknesses and improve on them And play towards our strengths Today I saw the bloke play our weaknesses and hook our strengths Got no faith in him whatsoever I’m not slagging any of the new players cos they didn’t get a look in

Re: West Ham vs. Aston Villa - Team and score predictions
We’re not a team in transition We’re the same team playing the same players and the same way People went mental when Moyes through the league cup game against Liverpool Our new manager has just done the exact same thing in his first game
Re: West Ham vs. Aston Villa - Team and score predictions
"I think we could we’ll have another manager who will persist with Antonio and use the German from the bench probably with Ings too. If we were hoping for a bold statement of intent from Loppy, we haven’t seen it today."
Re: West Ham vs. Aston Villa - Team and score predictions
Went in to the ground with high hopes but left feeling flat. We looked what we are - a team in transition - but worrying that a new manager plays soucek for 90 minutes and we don't seem sure when to press or play our from the back. No subs until 70 minutes plus and no one left up for corners was another moyes-like concern

Re: West Ham vs. Aston Villa - Team and score predictions
"Takashi Mike - I’m not suggesting they must all be sold I’m suggesting they’re used as a squad Coufal, Soucek, Mavropanos and Antonio should not be starting, unless it’s a league cup game or through injury Without trying to gloat cos I take no pleasure from being right about how shit West Ham are gonna be cos it pisses me off, I called on here from the second I saw that line up we’d lose and nothing was gonna be any different And I was spot on But I’m pretty sure thousands of other West Ham fans felt the exact same thing We’ve seen these players play week in/ week out and we know who’s shit and who isn’t We’ve just hired a bloke who’s supposed to know more about football than any of us And he’s just made a complete fool of himself by picking 95% of the same team as last season Now if you’re going to do that then I expect the players to be playing under the new tactics you’ve installed in them that are the total opposite to the previous manager’s, which got him the sack But no, exactly the same crap from the same players And when that became apparent he didn’t join them Instead he took off 2 of our best players who although weren’t having great games still possess the ability for a bit of magic I’ve seen enough of this bloke straight away to know it’s gonna take him an age to cotton on And anything we do that’s good will be down to the players and not him"
Re: West Ham vs. Aston Villa - Team and score predictions
"I'm a bit baffled with Loppy and his last 2 games, selection and tactics. Hope he's still sussing everyone out. We had a poor pre season with only a few players looking good. One of them was Potts, who now has been discarded entirely.Kudas is the only other and maybe Kodua in his limited game time. I mentioned earlier that we were undercooked. Paqueta and Bowen, when was the last time Bowen was subbed this early. Tough game coming up against Palace and tbh I don't think Loppy hasn't done himself any favours. He kept faith with to many underachievers from last season.Coufal for one and Mavropanos another. How brave will he be next week as after that is City. We'll get mullered if we don't play as a team. i wouldn't start Coufal,JWP, Mavropanis or Antonio and possibly Rodriguez."

"I was hoping beyond hope to see a massive change today. I'm shell shocked to be honest, starting Coufal, Soucek & Antonio? Oh dear. Could've been 6-0 without the lucky penalty. Of course time is needed, but if Soucek & Antonio start the next game, what was the fucking point if any of it? Utter fucking bollocks. Wholesale changes for the next game. Absolutely has to be after that shit show."

Top 10 with luck based on todays selection and tactics… 3 old slow strikers not good enough for where we aspire to be…Top6… No panic …but Lots of work to do…
