"twoleftfeet 1:57 Mon Aug 19 I'm aware any midfield combo we play does not have the legs, that's why I said it doesn't have the legs ffs. However, you can't call me out on that, then name a combo that's even slower, you plank. In saying that, I'm not against your starting line up, it's just that after watching that fucking horror show by Paqueta against Villa, where he played deep, I'd favour him further forward where he can have the freedom and be creative where it matters. I also want our best player, Kudus, in his best position, which is wide right, regardless of what he said a year ago or whenever it was. Either way, any variation of the 2 sides we have named will do, as long as we don't see Antonio, Coufal & Soucek in the starting 11"

ED JWP & Guido in central midfield? I'm faster than those to and I'm in my 50s! Areola AWB Todibo Kilman Emerson Guido Paqueta Bowen Kudus ( No 10 ) Summerville Fullkrug Attack is the best form of defence.

"""Summerville looked lively when he came on"" Thought he looked very lightweight and got knocked off the ball too easily, but he does try and create."

"Not panicking, will give the manager time, all of that, but for fuck sake, all the dough spent and time the manager has had with the squad, and we still have Michail Antonio starting up front. I genuinely cannot get my head around it. It's verging on the unforgivable, and the goodwill I've been desperate to give the manager is certainly tested by that alone, let alone the fact Soucek & Coufal started. With the current squad, we absolutely have to start Bowen up top against Palace. Kudus is clearly our best player, and we have to play him in his best position, on the right flank. AWB ----------- Todibo ----------- Kilman ----------- Emerson ------------------- Guido ------------- JWP --------------------- Kudus ------------------- Paqueta ------------------ Summerville ----------------------------- Bowen -------------------------------- That is currently our 11 best injury free footballers. It lacks height and legs in midfield, but I can't watch Frakenstein trudging around the pitch anymore, and we need to offer more threat as an attacking unit, let them worry about us. Alvarez to replace Mouse in midfield when he's fit."

"I was a bit gutted seeing the starting line up but can only hope the likes of Coufal, Soucek and Antonio have played themselves out of a starting spot against Palace. How is it possible for a premier league footballer to have as bad a first touch as Antonio's? The ball seemed to cannon off his foot every time. Summerville looked lively when he came on. Can't help but feel frustrated with it but it's going to take time and we were up against a strong Villa team. Fingers crossed we make big changes against Palace and take something from there"

They missed some sitters as well! Our problem was poor defending rather than Souchek missing that chance! Nobody seems to be able to read the game!

We are clearly a work in progress. He was never going to have three new players ready to start inside a week. We also sorely miss Alvarez' presence defensively. Don't think you can judge anything until mid September.

I have a feeling mavropanos is a better right back than centre half just like repka . Id rather him there than Vlad if AWB isn't available. Coufals a warrior who bleeds claret and blue but his legs are going. and watching Bowen yesterday he was constantly having to cover him and it affected his own game .

"Ron Eff 1:47 Sun Aug 18 ''When Fullkrug has Summerville, Kudus and Bowen as the three behind him, with Paqueta deeper, he will be fine.'' Mmmm, that all sounds good 'on paper' or on football manager, but this is the harsh realities of the Premier League, so will it ever be a reality where we line up that way and are taking sides apart? Maybe, but I'm not expecting us to look like Brazil 82 anytime soon."

"A big boot up in Lopes arse for insisting in choosing players whom still is shit. The substitutes were awful and prob6cost us the game. It is far to early to get on his back, ut this was a Moyes performance with Moyes olayers and nothing else. And because of that im very disappointed about both the lineup, the way we play and the subs. We have a looooong way to go to get rid of the Moyes mindset, so the sooner the better he shifts out Mavropanos, Coufal, Soucek and Antonio."

"When Fullkrug has Summerville, Kudus and Bowen as the three behind him, with Paqueta deeper, he will be fine. I certainly won’t write him off on 15-20 minutes. The first half Antonio did his usual hanging around on the wings. Much rather Fullkrug who will stay up front and not take up our wingers space. Clearly he was giving the old guard the chance to keep their place instead of immediately swapping them all our for new signings but they’ve squandered that opportunity now aside from maybe Dinos who was ok, and fully expect it to be Wan-Bissaka, Summerville, Fullkrug in next week for Coufal, Soucek and Antonio."

"Not sure how many more games it will take but Loppy needs to quickly realise Coufal, Soucek, Antonio & JWP aren’t up to it in the way he wants to play. If he is going to play Fullkrug he has to get SOME service. Absolutely nil yesterday Was reading Alvarez is back in training so hopefully not far away In the meantime I’d be looking for another midfielder with some pace (sell Soucek & JWP to finance) Cornet will be leaving & need to decide what we are doing with Potts & Orford. Having done a season away I hope Potts stays & gets some time. Would toughen up the midfield with some movement"
