Funny how much noise people who apparently don't give a fuck or think they're shit have been making since all this was announced. Worse than vegans and non-drinkers.
goose 4:30 Tue Aug 27 Re: Oasis - let’s get the band back together. There’s gonna be some mightily annoyed millennials when they get hit on the head by a pint of piss at Wembley Stadium. ag ag ag We've all done it....erm
"Swiss. wrote... Re: Oasis - let’s get the band back together. Oasis Quo as Blurr called them I'm pretty sure Damon out of blur called them Quoasis, but never mind. I'd go and see them for a laugh and a bit of a throwback, all depends on cost and venue. Can take or leave it so won't be bothered if I don't get tickets."
Oasis Quo as Blurr called them. Some great tracks but padded out by some right shit. Had tickets to see them when I was working in Atlanta 1996. They cancelled . Again in 1999 when working in Paris for Bercy. Again they cancelled. Both times the tickets were bought for me so maybe a relief . Maybe if I buy a ticket for each night they will cancel the tour :-(
"Went to see Springsteen at Wembley. It was ok but the sound was nowhere near as good as it should be for that sort of price. The worst bit about the whole experience though was everyone being funnelled into the tube station. The steps to get into the station were a nightmare, not helped by a knobhead security guard playing Sweet Caroline through his loudhailer - which meant people had to stop and film other drunk twats singing along to it. Hard swerve for me as the number of idiots on display will be significantly more for Oasis."
"Council Scum had it right earlier - 3 (admittedly very) decent tracks on (what I believe was) their first album, padded out by weapons-grade filler. All subsequent releases then dispensed with the decent tracks, yet still sold...proving how easy it is to manipulate people into serving you."
"Like a few on here I was at knebworth in 96 and the original one at Wembley. I just tagged along with mates rather than be that into them myself, definitely a few good songs, but I way preferred the prodigy at knebworth who were supporting. They are taking a bit of a risk doing this and there’s going to be some tragic looking 50 year olds there"
"joe royal 12:34 Tue Aug 27 Hey Joe, bit of a thread tangent but I was wondering if you have any info about Sammy Hagar planning dates in Europe as part of his Best of Both Worlds tour? I think it's just the US and maybe Japan so far? Thanks."
"Nothing wrong being labeled a pub band, the Blockheads who in my opinion were one of the tightest musically bands of all time, were essentially a pub band. Having said that, I don't think I've heard an Oasis song, are they any good then?"
