Podcast reccomendations
"We got a movie and box set thread; anyone got any recommendations for a decent podcast? Not just football related but on anything that may be of interest. About the only regular podcast i listen to is Joe Rogan, the recent one with Russel Crowe is quite entertaining although a bit long."

'We Have Ways of Making You Talk' - fantastic podcast covering everything WW2 with historian James Holland and comedian, and closet historian, Al Murray. Well over 800 episodes to plough through...

Re: Podcast reccomendations
On football, I like Analytics United for West Ham analysis...goes into the tactics and data more than the usual chat, waffle and opinion.
Must admit do pay for the West Ham Way and the Analytics United Patreons...the Martin Allen podcast is good, the 'U Irons' podcast with Sam Delaney is good and the AU guys do a lot before and after a game that's interesting.
Other than that, listen to Diary of a CEO when there's a topic of interest, and The Sweet Spot about golf. Also like the Jordan Petersen podcast back catalogue when feeling a. It more cerebral...he's had some great discussions with some interesting people over time.

"Many years ago someone on here recommended Hardcore History. Whoever it was, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. They are utterly superb. Its History that's hardcore. Weirdly enough."

"Blue&Claret. I've been listening to ' have a word' from the start, the monthly specials are fucking mental, well worth £3 per month which buys you the specials, access to the entire back catalogue and an extra episode every week. The stand outs for me were when Mike Rice,Jamie Hutchinson and Sean Walsh were the guests, I cried real tears at times, so so funny. Also seen Adam Rowe's stand up show a couple of times, great night of stand up."

Re: Podcast reccomendations
"Bit niche but Knock em Out the Box with Vinnie Paz from JMT. For the 99% of you who don't know who he is he's an underground rapper from Philadelphia, who loves his boxing. Podcast is about boxing and he seems to know his stuff. Zuby often has interesting people on, although he talks a bit too much and is very ""vanilla"". Can't stand all the gangster shit from a lot of the people they have on, but James English and Liam Tuffs often have decent guests and are a good listen. A podcast guest its worth lookig out for is Chris Voss, former FBI negotiator who now advises businesses on negotiation. Can change how you see conversations and even the world as some of his takes sound ridiculous at first."

"Forgot to add: Ben heath. Has some good football guests. Under the cosh. Some hilarious interviews with people involved in football. The Mark Crossley and Mark Bircham episodes are so so funny, an absolute must if you like your football chat."
