Russell Brand
Dispatches tonight could be about him so he has jumped in first dismissing claims and rumours and saying anything he did in past was consensual. No doubt it will be said that this is The Matrix coming after him due to his opposition to mainstream media.

Nurse Ratched 4:50 Sat Sep 16 Refreshing to hear a post like that from a woman. Young women have to fend off grabby blokes - young men have to fend off punches /kicks/knives from other young men.

Re: Russell Brand
"What Pentonville said in the OP is correct, I'd say... RB has been very vocal in 'telling the truth' of late, and we all know that doesn't sit well with the elites in the UK these days. Luckily, whatever happens, he's not the only one now - many may folk are logging on to what is going on, not just in the UK but globally. The cat is well and truly out of the bag..."

Re: Russell Brand
Have I understood this right? His accusers are getting to have this sorted on TV rather than accuse him.through the courts? Not sure this is ever a good thing.. I remember Weller getting accused of rape a few years ago.which was almost immediately dismissed as bollocks as Weller hadn't been in the place where the accuser said the attack.had taken place iirc. Such women don't do.the rest of us any favours.

I expect they took a statement from Allardyce. I remember Brand interviewing him and then kissing him as though Sam was some underpaid Spanish football champion.

Re: Russell Brand
"I have no idea and no guesses as to whether RB raped or assaulted anybody. But how can either party - the accuser or the accused - hope to get justice after such a time has elapsed? This 'historic abuse' stuff is dodgy, imo. Reputations ruined without so much as a sniff of a court case. Without going into details, in the past I have been in situations where I know without a shadow of a doubt that I was coerced - but crucially, not FORCED - into sexual activity before I was ready because I liked the bloke and thought he would break off our budding relationship if I didn't. However, I blame myself for that, not the bloke. It was my bad judgment. I wonder how many of these Me Too allegations are buyer's remorse and revision of history on the part of the women. And no, I'm not saying all of them are. But take Brand's case: if he was burning through women at the rate we are led to believe, surely the numbers would suggest that at least one of them would have complained to the police at the time it happened? Did any of them? Also, being the victim of a bloke who is 'being a bit handsy' and persistent: it is regrettable, but when you're a young woman, this is (or at least WAS) a grim right of passage. In my day (back in the mists of time) you would deal with it by walking away, shouting for help, kneeing in the bollocks, chucking a drink in his face, or grinning and bearing it till you could get away. It wasn't pleasant, and it certainly wasn't ok for men to do this, but it wasn't the end of the world, either. To conflate this sort of experience with rape is wrong, in my opinion. Expect I'll get crucified now."

Re: Russell Brand
"I've followed RBs career from being out of his head on E doing interviews for MTV, through being a heroin addict working for radio and inviting tramps into the studio to do his show with him, to sitting two rows in front of me at Upton Park and getting hassled every single minute of every game by fans wanting selfies with him (he showed INFINITE patience for probably two seasons before moving to a box, fans even tried to photograph his cock in the toilet as he wrote in one article jokingly) to his film career, marriage to Katty Perry, shagging a billion women who seemed to love him and threw themselves at him, to getting the hump with it all and becoming what he is now, someone trying to convey what he thinks is the truth, like the Prime Minister having massive shares in Moderna through his ex-hedge fund managing job and his wife. You can see why they would try and.tuck him up certainly and some of you 'no smoke without fire' (the.most stupid argument ever uttered) merchants might want him to be a wrong 'un but I truly believe this is going to be a classic hatchet job and the last straw that turns ME into a conspiracy theorist."

Here’s the Paxman i terview https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3YR4CseY9pk Interestingly he’s doing exactly what he suggested he would do nine years ago. It just took nine years to build.

Re: Russell Brand
"The first time I noticed Brand politically was an interview he had with Paxman on newsnight circa 2014. He was talking about a paradigm shift. He was so eloquent he left Paxman dumbstruck. He had clear views and expressed them brilliantly. He’s a recovering drug, alcohol and sex addict. He operates at 100 miles per hour. So, How many people have watched any of his political videos? I’ve seen around thirty and not once thought he was in conspiracy theory territory ever. He did once make a mistake, apologised and corrected the error. Once. I would think He’ll get an exclusive show on X worth millions as it will be one of the few places with an alternative audience."

Re: Russell Brand
The bloke annoys me and I really don’t see how a load of conspiracy theory crackpots are going to help him when facing these kind of charges in a court of law. I’m sure he can expect good representation and a solid judge though.
