How many times has paquetta, alvarez or jwp amongst others been left out in order to give him the full ineffective 90 minutes? Squad player? "He hasn't just scored some goals, he's scored a lot of goals 27 in the League/32 overall - and assisted 7/11 in all competitions - with most of them coming in the Premier League. He doesn't just win a fee blocks either, endlessly breaking up play, winning everything in the air and bravely putting his body on the line like no other not seen since Billy Bonds getting hurt as much as he has been, yet rarely misses matches through injury. You can't be that good in front of goal (not relying on scoring penalties), that good in the air, that fully committed with a top class attitude to boot and been a mainstay in the side since arriving that instantly coincided with keeping us up, helping us finishing 6th, then 7th and 9th in the League without being a good Premier League Midfielder. There's no argument from me about his lack of quality on the ball with passing as it is generally poor, but that doesn't negate all his other qualities when scoring, assisting, winning the ball back which are very important in the round when evaluating what he brings to the Team resulting in us achieving our best ever Premier League points tally with him at the heart of the Team and that was without the likes of Paqueta, Kudus, Alvarez around him at the time. A player also with decent winning pedigree in Europe, even manging to score twice in 6 Champions League games for Slavia Prague including against Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund. We'd be mad to lose his qualities from our Squad with all his experience and bang on attitude at 29 and no that doesn't mean I'd start him every game like Moyes blindly did either just that there's definitely a use for him within our Squad."

"Souceks apparently not a Premier League Midfielder and yet he's scored 27 times (some being absolute top drawer finishes like that left footed volley outside the box recently) and made 7 other assists in 159 appearances in the League. All whilst being a mainstay in the Team with the primary role as a Defensive Midfielder that breaks play up well helping us to achieve 3 top 9 finishes in the League. By all means cսnt his dodgy passing off and will struggle to keep pace with playing more progressive possession based Football but he deserves more respect than to say he ain't a Premier League Midfielder. His overall contribution to this Club in the League, as well as in Europe has been excellent, although limited on the ball. I think it would be daft to not at least keep him amongst the Squad even if used as a very useful Plan B when the possession based game isn't working out so well to begin with, which it won't. Definitely keep."
