"It‚Äôs a right cսnt and can be pretty debilitating at its worst. The older I get the more it improves but still get bad days. Got sent home from school a few times as kid because of it. I find 2 x loratadine a day works to reduce the symptoms, place a generic version of Sudafed at night which allows you to breath through your nice (as opposed to waking up every 20 mins because your mouth is dry from mouth breathing) I‚Äôve heard steroid injections kill it dead which is a useful side effect of ever needing one The local honey thing is total bollocks, I felt like a right mug after doing that religiously one year"

"You ha e to be a bit organised and start taking the tablets and shit before you start getting the symptoms. I'm suffering a bit but nowhere near as much as normal, but it depends what you're allergic to. Immunotherapy is an option that my mum went for and it's allviated her symptoms by about 70%. I might try that next year."

"When I was doing my exams, i went to the doc and he gave me an injection, it was life changing. Then they decided it was too expensive so I just suffered for years or took cetrizine once a day all year round - and felt drowsy as a result. After my dad telling me he used to suffer and 'grew out of it', I gave the tablets a miss and been pretty much ok."

Yesterday was the first time in probably 15 years I felt it. Only had it one or two summers when I was younger. Completely fine again today. And no I didn't drink any cum...

"I feel your pain. I get aching muscles and head fog as well as every other normal symptom. This week has been mental. My face puffed up like a red baloon. It's the first time I've ever changed my behaviour because of it. I normally just get on with stuff, but this was extreme. I had to spend the first couple of days this week indoors. Desentisation treatment can almost cure it, but its not without risk and you have to get referred, so you have to try all other remedys first. Otherwise steroid nazal spray, antihistimine and nasal douching are the only things that help me. Forget about local honey - that been proven not to work."

I've never 'suffered' from this. I have always considered it a sign of weak genes.

"Its a right pain. I've found that the one a day tablets sort me out pretty well though, but only really the Cetirizine ones and not the loratidine. Own brand work just as well as branded. I know a few people who the tablets don;t work for sadly. When I was younger it was eye drops and nose spray 3-4 times a day which was expensive and a pain to remember."

Same here. The only thing that touches it is Allevia. Its claim to last 24 is a total lie but it helps a bit.
