Luis Guilherme - Signed
Luis Guilherme - Signed
"West Ham United is delighted to announce the signing of young Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras on a five-year contract. The 18-year-old will complete his transfer on Friday 14 June when the summer transfer window officially opens, subject to international clearance and a work permit being issued. He is considered one of the most exciting prospects in South American football and, despite his tender years, has already made 40 senior appearances for Palmeiras, won the Brazilian S?©rie A title, played in the Copa Libertadores and been capped by his country at Under-20 level. A technically gifted attacking player blessed with searing pace and acceleration, elusive dribbling skills and a superb left foot, Luis Guilherme is a hugely promising talent who was identified as a priority target by Technical Director Tim Steidten and Head Coach Julen Lopetegui. The teenager will link up with Lopetegui and his first team squad for pre-season training in early July, and is looking forward to showing what he can do in Claret and Blue."

Cheers Miike. LT. It ain’t the wedge that’s the issue. It’s all the shit you could pick up streaming it. I knew the betting companies streamed the European league’s. Didn’t realise they did the South American Leagues. If that goes the other way. Then you can see why Paqueta is up shit creek.!

"shorty, b365 stream most of the games in the south american leagues. also got the copa america games on there"
Re: Luis Guilherme - Signed
The big problem with getting South American talent is very few of us have seen these players play.! Seriously. Where can you watch a South American League match without getting involved in a illegal stream.?

Re: Luis Guilherme - Signed
"Not to be negative - but I think this is an odd signing given how weak we are in other positions, also taking into account FFP. If spending 18mm doesn't impact us signing the 5/6 others we need in crucial positions, then happy days. I'm also slightly perturbed he seems to be doing the bulk of his shopping in Brazil. Be nice to get some players in that will be able to start the season come August and who wont need ages to bed in."

"Crystal Palace bought a wonderkid Brazilian from Flamengo, Matheus Fran?ßa, last summer, cost about the same fee as this lad and they're about the same age, he played 10 times last season. Maybe a worthwhile comparison, maybe not."

Re: Luis Guilherme - Signed
"Cool I guess Lopetegui will play him! Should be a nice difference from signing a young talent and then actually never seeing him play! Bowen, Kudus, Paqueta and Guilherme!!!!!! Excellent"
Re: Luis Guilherme - Signed
"A young player with “searing pace”. Never seen him play, never heard of him until we were linked. Hopefully a sign that Lopetegui will trust young players, including our academy."

Possibly a spectacular signing. Best case scenario he's off to Real Madrid in two years!

"100% Nagel Although not Bowen - he stays till he's Bonds age and packs the game up with us, would hate to see him leave if it can be helped. It's not like he can't get in the England Tournament Squads or win stuff with us these days.."

Re: Luis Guilherme - Signed
Bem-vindo o garoto! Might start considering it could be time to be getting excited about this window at some stage soon…
Re: Luis Guilherme - Signed
"Definitely a sign of ambition, shelling out this sort of dough on an 18 year old Brazilian who plays in positions we're already well covered in. He should be able to get just the right amount of game time this season, coming on as a sub for Bowen or Kudus or our new striker and starting a few games here and there. If he steps up quickly enough either we cash in on Kudus or Bowen next season or we have great squad depth in those RW and CAM positions. Can't lose, can we? First one to mention Savio gets a clip round the ear."
