"We've brought in a couple of decent looking signings, but the futures of Paqueta and Kudus don't look entirely solid with the likes of Man City and the police sniffing about, so will we be ready for Villa and beyond?"

"It won’t be up to certain peoples standards but looking at numbers we will be ok. Will we still be making transfers, probably. The big question is we don’t know what or how the manager rates and plans to use the youths. I mean if he intends to use them a lot, does that mean we don’t need to fill all the positions we think need filling. I personally reckon we will bring in around 5 new players…. ST, RB, LW, CM, CB…. Think we will see ings, cornet, zouma and aguerd go, which will leave us short at CB."

"My feeling is we won't be ready, but as you say we'll get there eventually. Hope you're right about Kudus."

"It's frustrating, but I suspect we will get there eventually with what we need. The money seems to be there and it's a fresh start with the new coach, so I doubt we'll cock it up, but you never know. Kudus won't be leaving."
