Harvey Weinstein.
Clearly the guy is a sexual predator but my question is why are all of these women only coming out now? If Jolie and Paltrow had reported him 25 years ago then surely this would have stopped him? Surely by saying nothing they are assisting an offender?

Re: Harvey Weinstein.
old fashioned Ray You don’t like to distinguish between situations where women are allowed to make their own choices and those where they aren’t ?
Re: Harvey Weinstein.
"simon s. etc.... Seth McFarlane called Weinstein out on stage at the Oscars and everyone just tittered. A young actress who fled a hotel room might get a sympathetic wry smile, but nobody was about to form a mob and take a mogul like that down. The guy, like many others like him in Hollywood, had the power to make or break people's lives. I cannot understand what people don't understand about the ability of people like this to hide in plain site and aggressively do what they like without recourse. Have you never met powerful people who appear beyonf reproach and above the law? It happens all the time, in most industries. You simply can't apply your own cosseted retrospective logic to a situation you have never experienced, or ever will. If one or two witnesses sensationalise, dozens will tell the truth, and many will be too ashaamed to come forward at all. Personally I'm on the side of the threatened 7 stone girls, not the 20 stone sexual predator who thought he'd never face any consequences. Fuck him."

"Bang him up in the slammer!!! Oh hang on,that is what he is being charged for? Being slightly more serious for a moment though, he will hopefully be made to pay and there needs to be consequences even if there is now a witch hunt its pretty certain that he is a ""wrong un""."

Re: Harvey Weinstein.
"showering her body on tv was her choice, I don't see the connection between that and a fat lefty predator trying it on with her. its almost the same argument these fundamentalists use when making their wives/daughters/sisters wearing headscarfs or the full burqa"

"Myleene Klass is quite happy to show her body to millions of people wearing a skimpy bikini in the shower whilst in the ‘jungle’ but gets indignant a few years after a fat rich bloke offers her a bit of rumpy pumpy, call me old fashioned....."

"All these birds coming out with ‘why everyone knew he was at it, it was common knowledge’ once the fucking gravy train has derailed’. I remember Janet Street-Porter saying the same about Savile, and this woman was in charge of the yoof programmes at bbc2, ffs. Where was your moral compass then, love?"

"That diversion tactic really isn't going to work this time, Pickled. The entire board has seen you sympathise with Roman Polanski and you'll never be able to shake it off. Maybe time to stop posting now."

"I should be worried about getting into an internet debate with someone who stood there and watched his wife get chatted up by another man, and asked on the internet for advice on what to do? You are not fit to scrape catshit off my shoelaces, you long knecked waif."

"Here's his original post in case he tries to deny it again Hammer and Pickle 12:56 Thu Oct 12 Re: Harvey Weinstein. There are very good reasons why people in the film industry defended Pola?Ñski and they have nothing to do either with lefty self-righteousness or personal interest. Don't let that stop you make a tit of yourself on this particular issue today though, mimmler. And then when asked what these reasons are he said some bollocks about a ""right wing judge"" giving too harsh a sentence. Beast."
