Harvey Weinstein.

Clearly the guy is a sexual predator but my question is why are all of these women only coming out now? If Jolie and Paltrow had reported him 25 years ago then surely this would have stopped him? Surely by saying nothing they are assisting an offender?

"Rape and assault are obviously one thing and wrong whenever they took place. There needs to be a line drawn here though, someone being a bit too touchy feely,l or trying to chat you up / giving you unwanted attention or kissing you in a game of kiss chase years ago is not assault. If it is then a lot of us will be in trouble and there will be millions of people coming out of the woodwork claiming all sorts."

"""Fellow Labour MP Ms Creagh said she was just seven when she was sexually assaulted by about 12 boys during a school playground game of kiss-chase"" Damn. And there was I thinking I was a good guy but as I played kids chase at primary school I'm clearly a sexual predator and shouldn't be let out in public. The stupid thing about these allegations are that it'll make women worse off. Consensual sex between a young woman and a senior man to advance the career of the former will continue. All this has done has enhance this notion and may encourage others to follow. #metooimanidiot"

"I read yesterday that at one of his concerts Harry Styles was groped in the crotch by one of his teenage female fans. Of course this is put down to an over zealous fan,. If a fan had done this to a female singer I am sure it would have made the front page!!"

I see some actress I have never heard of has come out and said that the 93 year old wheelchair bound former President George Bush touched her inappropriately and told a dirty joke. Naturally she has waited 3 years to report it. It’s just a matter of time before someone accuses Stephen Hawking or Stevie Wonder.

Let's face it it's now clear Hollywood only really exists as a medium for a lot of old guys to get hold of young women. Fuck me it's not for the quality of the movies

"Terrible bait Darby. The only hysteria was from H&P flapping, getting abusive and changing his story when pulled up for his latest episode of sticking up for convicted paedophiles, something he has massive form for. Why you're now rushing to his aid 2 days later is anyone's guess."

"Odd to find articles with which I agree in The Mail but the hypocrisy of Thompson, Winslet, Portman and their ilk seems to know no bounds... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4984868/PIERS-MORGAN-Kate-Winslet-s-hypocrisy-Weinstein.html http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-4983560/Emma-DID-sign-petition-help-Polanski.html Weinstein would appear to be loathsome slime but I’m not aware of any of his victims being 13 year old who’d been drugged and plied with alcohol first. (Though there may well have been...) Or potentially abused a seven year old stepdaughter, causing his only son to publish against him. As for Goldberg and the ‘It’s not rape-rape though, is it?’ Line... What the fuck would happen to a bloke who said that? If you’re going after scumbags and enablers, Hollywood would indeed seem to be full of ‘em..."

"Politicians and Hollywood heavyweights have rallied behind director Roman Polanski following his arrest. French foreign minister Bernard Kouchner called the detention of the film-maker - a French citizen - in Switzerland a ""bit sinister"". According to trade paper Screen Daily, Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein is also backing the director. A lawyer acting for Mr Polanski said his client would contest the US request for extradition. US prosecutors want Mr Polanski to return to be sentenced for having unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977. Old story from bbc."

Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion but a left wing newspaper giving a platform to someone advocating implementing Islam as state religion as a way to reduce sexual harassment of women is beyond parody. This is levels of mental gymnastics that were previously thought impossible.

It’s not an editorial it’s someone giving a (wrong) opinion Of course most papers have columnists that all follow a line Not sure who they use now but can recall the Independent had Nigel Lawson amongst others. I understand this was in a section devoted to various opinions Personally I think one of the changes in the modern world is that most people don’t seem to want to hear anyone else’s opinion but their own.

Islam isn't the answer. Why swap one religion for another? At the center of this story is a problem linked firmly to celebrity worship. Young hopeful starlets that will do anything to make it in Tinseltown. Any girl of sound mind would say it's not worth sucking Jabba the Hut's flabby cock just for a shot a a role.
