Re: The Official Cowdenbeath 2023-24 Season Thread - Scottish Lowland Football League
"Two games left, just have to win them and hope that Albion Rovers and/or Civil Service Strollers drop points, in the business end of the season. Bonnyrigg getting relegated would be the icing on the cake."
Re: The Official Cowdenbeath 2023-24 Season Thread - Scottish Lowland Football League
"Still time to update my CV then. Yesterday, Cowdenbeath lost 4-2 at Cumbernauld after being 2-0 up at half time, as the season peters out. More importantly, arch-nemesis Bonnyrigg Rose conceded an injury time equaliser. Only one point separates the bottom three, after Clyde scored an injury time winner against fellow strugglers Stranraer."

"Stevie Crawford and Jason Dair have taken over the helm until the end of the season. Hot off pie and bovril. (Well, Tuesday anyway, I don’t read it EVERY Adam) The next few weeks will be interesting. There’s a Bonnyrigg fan giving it the big one on there. Who the fuck do they think they are?"

"In a way this could turn out to be a good thing. Calum has steered the ship, to a position of further consolidation in a new division and (still) every possibility of a top 10 finish in the Scottish Lowland League. That’s not to be sniffed at. STILL though, has he taken the club as far as he, (personally) could have taken it? The King is dead…l"

Re: The Official Cowdenbeath 2023-24 Season Thread - Scottish Lowland Football League
Plenty of talk and speculation on the pie and bovril site. This taken from a poster called Nelly1; “Well last 48 hours has been eventful. Sadly we lost our manager. The club wanted Calum to stay he unfortunately decided to go. Thus we move on. Does leave us now up against it in regards to what our plans were for moving forward and next season etc however short term I can confirm we are trying to get someone in to help us to end season at least until we take stock and re group and the club decide on best course of action for a permanent manager. Big game Saturday please do really get behind the players they will appreciate it. In regards to signed players yes wr have a bulk of players signed up including robbie/ewan etc. Ewan is unfortunately injured likely for next 4 or 5 games so unlikely to be seen b4 end season. Best wishes to calum who worked ever so hard for the club. We now have to move forward Mon the Cowden” I think that sums things up nicely.

"?ùêå?ùêÄ?ùêç?ùêÄ?ùêÜ?ùêÑ?ùêë ?ùêè?ùêé?ùêí?ùêà?ùêì?ùêà?ùêé?ùêç On Saturday evening Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic intimated to Cowdenbeath FC that they would like to speak to our manager Calum Elliot in respect of potentially taking on the role of manager at New Dundas Park. We acceded to this request after consulting with Calum. Yesterday Calum advised us that he had decided to accept the offer of the managerial position at Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic in the SPFL. Subsequently, this morning, we concluded compensation arrangements with Bonnyrigg and released Calum from his contract with Cowdenbeath FC. We wish Calum well in his new role and thank him for all his good work in his year at Cowdenbeath which took us forward in 2023/24 after our struggles and disappointments in the preceding seasons. We will of course look to further update our fans over the next few days."
