Kalvin Philips Done
West Ham United is delighted to confirm the signing of England midfielder Kalvin Phillips on loan until the end of the 2023/24 season. The 28-year-old joins the Hammers from Manchester City and could make his debut in Thursday’s Premier League fixture with AFC Bournemouth at London Stadium.
Re: Kalvin Philips Done
"If ever there was a case for why you have to implement data analysis and stats along with a proper recruitment process, this is it. Moyes did what managers did back 20 years ago and insisted we get him in based purely on the past, his reputation and past experience playing for England and then going to Man City which Moyes assumes means he must be good and will come good because they do their due dilligence on players. This one is the biggest of all Moyes recruitment disasters by a country mile. At this moment, its hard to eee Phillips ever playing at the highest level again. He never had pace but strength and passing vision. But slowness of thought and reaction and lack of awareness from not playing competitively for 2 years along with a psychological “melt down” in confidence and belief. The blokes shot. Like a case of PTSD. Got to feel sorry for him as a professional footballer but he’s a multi millionaire from it. He will need to go to a club with a coach that helps him rebuild his confidence. Possibly lower league or abroad. Moyes fragile ego, lack of player development and handling skills has added to the problem. For everyone’s sake he should not play another game. £5 million flushed down the bog by a manager that has cost the club circa. 30 million in player recruitment losses or loss of value in fee versus sale price. Offset by euro qualification and performance revenues but, as I keep thinking, even Sullivan can see Moyes is an abject failure with recruiting? Then again so us Sullivan so perhaps he wont see it"

"I’m sure that Phillips is trying to do his best to find his form, unfortunately that form was left at Leeds. Pep has seen that and after trying to get the best out of Phillips has given up. Moyes must think he’s a better manager and coach than Pep, all he’s doing is tormenting Phillips by playing him when he’s so out of form, but Moyes is so stubborn and wants to prove his point. Not to the benefit of Phillips or more importantly the club. There’s no point in keeping Phillips now, some fans are making it all his fault but it’s 100% on Moyes."

"Moyes' NUMBER 1 target over the last 3 years, wd40 son. You have to laugh."
Re: Kalvin Philips Done
Still looks over weight even just comparing the photo top of this thread which is just worse thing a footballer can do. Went to City just for a big contract and wage and very happy to sit on the bench for a season and half -as he knew he would . Must have spent all spare time getting that hair done and sitting down getting tattooed -looks like a blind kid has been let loose. Something tell me he doesn't stay on for extra training or gets in early .

"the fact we have no obligation to buy is the silver lining with this one, expect its the opposite for Man city though!!! they were maybe hoping he did a Lingard and they could sell him in the summer to us or a higher bidder. rumor is that Leeds are going to try and bring him back in a cut price deal, expect City may have no option than to take the hair cut as i can't see anyone else being interested and i doubt they will want him back, no way he's getting a game or even his place back on the bench on current showings"

"Moyes was actually boasting just a few weeks ago that he'd been chasing him for 3 years. What does this bloke have to do to get sacked? The middle finger thing doesn't bother me that much, if he's getting abused he's reacted, don't see why it just has to be one way, I'm just pleased that he got mouthful from our lot."

I could kiss whoever's (it wouldn't have been Moyes) decision it was to insist there was no obligation to buy him. We'd be even more sick to our stomachs watching his shit performances knowing we'd have to buy him for £50m in the summer.

"It's actually pretty hilarious how bad this transfer has turned out. As much as I and a lot of others were scratching their heads why we were bringing in another central midfielder to add to the 3 we already had, when we so fucking desperately needed a left winger and a striker, but fuck me, I didn't expect him to be THIS bad. I could see what was gonna happen with the pen, the way he leisurely took the ball, in his own fucking area, it almost all happened in slow motion. Forget the ref, if this £250k a week chump didn't have the wherewithal to know you do not do that in your own fucking box when you're under the pump, then words fail me. The scariest thing of all though, and let this sink in, this manager wanted to sign this fraud on a permanent transfer for £50mil a couple of seasons ago. Hahaha."

"Not his fault?! The useless turd gave the ref all he needed to give a penalty to them. He's been at fault for an unreal amount of goals for such little playing time for us. Without shadow of doubt the worst signing in the history of our football club, so far. He can fuck right off for giving our supporters the middle finger. I bet that useless cսnt of a manager still sticks by him, though."

Re: Kalvin Philips Done
Wasn’t Philipps fault for the result at all. Coufal also had a shocker at fault for two goals. Moyes is the main culprit but he’ll let his players take the fall. Never holds himself accountable for anything.

ALFS there is a video doing the rounds on twitter of it. It's not even sly. He literally gets on the bus and sticks his finger up at supporters who were chanting useless at him

"Its a bit harsh to say the defeat was down to Philips alone IMO, but he wasn't great that's for sure, how he held down an England place for so long is looking criminal as well!!! Also the silly twat aint doing himself any favors, just read this.............. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-13255841/Kalvin-Phillips-sticks-MIDDLE-FINGER-furious-West-Ham-fans-shouted-abuse-boarded-coach-Newcastle-4-3-defeat.html Kalvin Phillips sticks his MIDDLE FINGER up at furious West Ham fans after they shouted abuse at him as he boarded coach back from Newcastle after 4-3 defeat"

"If Moyes plays this reprobate for even another minute then you will know all you need to know about him if you didn""t already. He needs to be sent back to City today before he can do any more damage and write the money off."

"This cripple is the worst signing in the clubs history, surely that is a 100% fact since it's literally impossible for anyone else to have been any worse. All down to that sick cսnt Moyes. I only wish ill on both of the cunts."
Re: Kalvin Philips Done
"I felt a bit sorry for him too, until I read Pentonville's post below. If that's true I hope he loses his legs in a car crash he caused and has to pay his entire wealth to all of the people he injured."
Re: Kalvin Philips Done
I felt a bit sorry for him. He’s been a bit unlucky with mistakes leading to goals and some dodgy refereeing decisions going against him. But you can’t forgive the lack of effort. He’s been going through the motions and not giving a shit. Fucking disgraceful.

"Slow Joe He WAS better than Rice. But it looks like 2 years of not playing , bit being trusted has sent him into a tailspin. Needs to work very very hard to get back up again."
