Corrupt officiating

Post maverick180 »

"A point that seems to of been missed Antonio’s goal could not be seen from any angle whether it definitely came off his stomach or his arm, therefore should never have been disallowed However VAR made the decision to straight up disallow it Souceks goal definitely could be seen to strike his arm, that was the one that was the correct decision However, VAR called over the ref this time to make the decision Does nobody else find that highly suspicious? For me that is what someone would do who’s already made a bent decision and not trying to further put themself in the spotlight"

"threesixty, you'll have to forgive the fantasist pimp as he and the ref don't know the laws of football, you can't tackle from behind to get the ball, unless you get the ball and in this case, Gordon didn't get the fucking ball and in fact it should have been a foul on Phillips."

Does anyone actually know the official rules here or are we just guessing? Personally I thought that a foul must have intent or carelessness as a rule. Like a head height kick is fine if no one is near you but if you’re careless and do it near someone’s head and kick them it’s a foul etc. My thing with the Philips pen is that there is no way on earth he could have known the guy was there. It’s almost like a tackle from behind which is pretty much outlawed because you have no chance of avoiding it. And if you do tackle from behind (or sort of hook your leg around the player) you absolutely have to get the ball otherwise it’s a definite foul. In this instance Gordon tackled from behind and didn’t get the ball and basically just obstructed Philips from kicking the ball by putting his foot there. Doesn’t feel like there was any intent or carelessness from Philips at all. No foul for me unless the rules state otherwise.

Yup if anything it’s a foul on Phillips. I’m always here to help your tiny brain with these tough issues.

Planting your foot in front of someone trying to play the ball doesn’t make it a foul. Give up trying to be ‘edgy’.

"It’s a foul on Phillips, it’s never a penalty. This crap of players buying penalties by sticking the foot in the way is ridiculous."

If that was against Liverpool or Man Utd there would have been a five minute forensic investigation by MOTD but they didn't even mention it. It was quite obvious to me that Gordon planted his foot deliberately for the first penalty the second penalty he fouled Phillips before Phillips kicked him.

"If the 2nd one is a penalty we should start using it every week. Just plant your foot in front of a player clearing a ball without trying to play the ball yourself. Its the equivalent of kicking a ball at a players arm intentionally when he is pointing for his team mate to move. It’s a cheat move. I remember Balbuena getting sent off for similar v Chelsea. These refs just don’t learn. That said, Phillips was fucking slow as per allowing Gordon time to do it."

"Come on you irons, if you think the 2nd one was a stone wall penalty, football really isn't for you. I'm yet to hear a neutral agree that it was a penalty."

"It’s so boring to hear people to continuously say there’s no corruption in this country with officiating Show me one shred of evidence that proves it can’t happen and it’s being watched and I’ll eat my words But it doesn’t exist What does exist, is every week there are outrageous decisions being made despite having the use of equipment which is supposed to stop this happening Name me one other non corrupt business where workers manage to keep their jobs despite being completely and utterly inept at doing so week after week The fact is you can’t name one"

Gordon was clever on both occasions for quick thinking and sticking his leg in the way of a travelling foot..he weren’t clever enough to anticipate the 2nd yellow for kicking the ball away. In reality bent officials don’t exiist… by bent I mean taking a brown envelope..what does exist is total incompetence..and with or without VAR that is football

Any player of manager gets fined for speaking out because the FA are in on it They don’t investigate referees for this very reason It’s the perfect system

"maverick, corruption or just plain bloody awful officiating the problem is the officials and PGMOL get a free pass. Managers refuse to make major statements about decisions in interviews because they get fined and nothing gets done so they think, what's the point. A club may get an apology once in a while but why are Referees not questioned like Managers are after the game? If you are allowed to get away with mistakes then you continue to make them because they aren't being held accountable. Rob Jones has been pretty shocking in most games I've seen him, it's as if he doesn't know the rules. I had high hopes when Howard Webb took over from the awful Mike Riley but it seems to be getting worse. Someone neutral should be asking these referees how they come to these decisions, not a comfy chat and lets keep it quiet in a closed shop."

How many times do you see this type of penalty given? Its a deliberate attempt by players to get a penalty by planting tgeir foot in front of somebody making a clearance Tottenham's players especially Son and Kane when he played for them were masters at this. Both penalties today were given for this. If that is the standard of refereeing in the country they must be fishing these idiots from the special schools. I must also point out that the VAR idiot was David Coote who has never given a decision in our favour since he started refereeing. The bloke is a five star cսnt and should be drummed out of the PGMOL.

"I don't buy the corruption theory as it would mean so many referees being complicit, yet just one to blow the whistle (no pun intended). I'm sure there must be the odd corrupt official taking bungs from betting syndicates but for it to be throughout premiership is too fantastical to believe. Like warm balls."
