"Lucky win i thought, but to his credit the substitutions today worked, unlike Newcastle! Keeps us in the mix but other results didn't go our way except Brighton so still plenty to do. COYI"

Re: ‚ö? Wolves v West Ham - Official Match Thread
"Ward-Prowse said: ""Before the game, we spoke about hitting the target with corners. It is a difficult one for the goalkeeper to defend because there are lots of bodies in his way and, if nobody touches it, hopefully it goes in. That was the case today, so I will take it. ""It is something I don't think keepers like to face when it is in-swinging. It was a bit of a windy day, a few storms knocking about, so I used it to my advantage and thankfully it paid off. I will give Storm Kathleen an assist for sure! ""I have never scored direct from a corner before, but my mum and dad always said to me as a kid to do it, so I'll give credit to them! ""The first half was probably one of our worst performances of the season. We didn't move the ball quick enough, we didn't get enough pressure on the ball, we sat off and gave them too much respect in a way. ""But I think in the second half we showed why we are where we are and where we want to go. It was a proper West Ham performance and one we can be proud of."""

Re: ‚ö? Wolves v West Ham - Official Match Thread
"Moyes said: """"Wolves played well in the first half and we came out and played well in the second half. I have to say the substitutions - they don't always work, but they did today. The boys who came on did a great job. ""I am still not convinced it [Wolves' goal] was a penalty-kick but the referee gave it. Although we played poorly in the first half, the biggest positive we took from it was we were only one goal down and that was from a dubious penalty. ""We made a couple of changes to see if we could bring something else to the party, because we had shown nothing in the first half. All the basic things were missing, our play in the first half was so bad, but the second half was completely different."""

Re: ‚ö? Wolves v West Ham - Official Match Thread
"O'Neil: ""We scored a good goal and it was disallowed. That's pretty much it. ""I know why. If your understanding of football is fairly low you can reach the conclusion that it's offside. ""I would hope the officials at this level would be far better than that to know better, especially with a screen and slow motion in front of them. Unfortunately they don't. ""I think David Moyes agrees with me. [Lukasz] Fabianski agreed with me. I haven't spoken to many people that don't agree with me. The goal going in from a corner direct, which never ever happens. ""I understand that West Ham found their way back into the game, as they should with the players they have available to them."" He's right and even Moyes and Fabianski agreed with him. Their bad luck/poor offiating though is our much needed good fortune."""

Re: ‚ö? Wolves v West Ham - Official Match Thread
"When Wolves have a penalty given against them for their goalkeeper being punched in the face, or when they have two penalties given against them after their defenders get fouled, or when they don't get penalties when the ball is almost caught by the other teams defender, when they get three goals chalked off in one game for highly dubious reasons, or the ref overturning the VAR official for the most clear cut of handballs, then they can start moaning. A bloke in an offside position in direct line with the goalkeeper's vision, can be doing nothing other than effecting the play."
Re: ‚ö? Wolves v West Ham - Official Match Thread
The Emerson decision was far worse than the goal at the end but the annoying Gary O’Neil fails to Mention it.
Re: ‚ö? Wolves v West Ham - Official Match Thread
"Both the Emerson goal and their would-be equaliser were ruled out for technicalities which didn't affect the ball ending up in the back of the net. You can't logically complain about one without complaining about the other. In fact, I'm complaining about both... if both were given, we'd have one more goal scored for the same goal difference. Four or five times in a hundred years, league rankings are settled by goal scored, the third criterion after points and goal difference..."

I’d love to know what was said at half time today. It’s not every day Moyes takes Soucek off and wins a game. He needs to tell us how he won it.

"Felt like a training game at times today - there was zero tempo to it. Play like that against Leverkusen and we’ll get thumped. Two set play goals again, we look toothless in open play at the moment."

Re: ‚ö? Wolves v West Ham - Official Match Thread
"According to Gary O'Neil both Moyes and Fabianski felt that the Wolves goal should have stood, but I'm happy to take it as we've been fucked off by VAR a few times this season. Yes, 7th gets a European place. 8th too, possibly, depending on how we fare against BL and Arsenal v BM."

Id be surprised if he bothers with Antonio I expect us to sit back for 100 minutes in the away leg... he'd be better off saving him for Fulham and the home leg... Or maybe he should trust Ings he wanted him previously if you beleive what you read...

"BillyJenningsBoots 9:57 Sat Apr 6 Maybe Moyes didn't start like that because the only striker he really trusts (whether you agree or not is another story) is thirty-four years old, relies on explosive pace and could do with 45 minutes off before a massive European match on Thursday night?"

Re: ‚ö? Wolves v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Twolefttesticles And you are one of Nutsacks Moysie boys arent you... with your tongue so far up Moyes's arse you cant see what in front of you... you think we won today because Moyes got his strategy right... first half Moyesball masterclass absolutely clueless! Second half he couldnt afford to not make a change... we could all see that we had to get a striker on and Paqueta back in the middle and so must he... but why the fuck did he not start like that... But you and the Moysie Boys stick your heads in the sand cos Moyes is finished
