"Jose would never come to us.but he has won more than almost everybody else in history. Like I say, I’d like a winner. I mean more tgan moyes obvs."
Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
In the last 7 seasons the single trophy that Mourinho has won is the the Conference League. Also gave Roma their lowest scoring season since the 90s last year. Thumbs up!

"I agree with Sir Alf. Next appointment will be fascinating to see the direction and ambition of the club. Which i hope is Sullivan allowing Steiden to lead and appoint a modern attacking manger. Moyes, who by certain standards has been brilliant, represents treading water and I'd like to see the club move on even if it means taking a risk or two over league position."

"I don't care about that Branded the last thing he won was the same thing Moyes won.....he is not that 'Special One' anymore.....we need someone with upward looking momentum, he's on the way down...."

"Mourinho is also a massive cսnt who plays boring football. If we thought that this club was divided under Moyes, then it would potentially be worse under someone like Mourinho."

Pickle Rick 3:16 Tue Apr 9 Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him? Russ of the BML 12:24 Tue Apr 9 You're having a laugh if you think Di Zerbi would leave Brighton for us. --- Why? We are clearly a bigger club with much more going for us. Brighton are a small club punching massively above their weight. It won't last long no matter how well they are run.

"RM10 2:43 Tue Apr 9 I never said he didn't do anything right. But the thread is about who you would replace him with. And I don't think that kicking on from where we are now and playing attacking exciting football is as hard a task as you make out. I mean, let's be honest, we are where we are in the because of some good results but also because Chelsea and Newcastle have hit the skids. as others said, they go above us with games in hand and we are 9th. Say that's where we end up.... You seriously think a decent manager can't top that and play exciting entertaining football?"

I don't think Mourinho is that 'winner' you talk about anymore.....if we are in Europe I'd like us to be known for playing the famed English Premier League football......why? because it wins.....

Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
Im not a massive style of play type supporter. In the Prem we need something else to step up. Probably 300 million. As far as Europe is concerned we’re in a top group in my opinion so the next two games will show what that might look like. Jose would always bring a mentality that says “you can win any game”. If I was to see an alternative to Moyes I’d just want a winner.

"It's such a weird, old school, pathetic way of thinking that improving the football means sliding down the league. For the odd occasion that might happen, it flies in the face of most other example where playing better football earns you more points, certainly when you can go out and spend the sort of dough we can on players. A load of BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR bollocks."
Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
"BRANDED - I want to look to the future too as its has been a nice change to be in Europe for a few years on the trot. Not a ""Gotcha"" question, but do you see the Moyes brand of football ( largely defending deep, countering fast and set pieces ) being able to sustain / maintain European football ( I know next 3 weeks will tell us for next season ) for the next few years. I just look across the European leagues and no team in the respective top 6 plays this way anymore. Maybe it had/has the surprise factor in Europe as teams are not used to it but that wont last will it? It is wrongly portrayed as West Ham fans just wanting style and entertainment but for me its more than that, its that his style is less likely to see us progress. The Pellegrini era will get referenced and is probably now a big drag on Sullivan's desire for change and yes it might go wrong again. However, whats different is Steidten and a recruitment and scouting set up."

I think the Club has evolved and is very much about the present and the future. Some fans are living in the past. Personally I have enjoyed the last few years and am looking forward to the future. Not always said that with West Ham.

Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
"I think that its understandable why some fans, media pundits etc, only think our current status and position is as ""good as it gets"" based on our history especially in the Premiership years only. That's possibly where the divide is. Those that want us to try and kick on versus those who do not want to risk change because by its nature it is risky. Conversely, sticking with Moyes is also a risk IMO because not making Europe continues an overall regression despite winning the conference cup. And that in spite of record investment in players. Hence I come back to Euro qualification being the decisive thing. He achieves it again, I have to accept he probably gets the chance to stay on despite it being short sighted ( again IMO ) the thought of continuing with the approach he uses, the disfunctional fit to Steidten and not getting the most from the team. not building a squad and not trying to use academy players. That's why I understand why some fans even want him to fail. What never gets answered is the simple question of whether his brand of football, is played by the very best teams across Europe? And why not? An answer to that would be revealing and suggest why many of us do not see it as a sustaining strategy"
Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
"""They are living in the fucking past."" I think that's it in a nutshell. These people seem to think that nothing has changed, that it's a miracle if we do better than mid-table in the league or if we progress in the smaller European competitions, despite us having what at the start of the season was the 10th most expensively assembled squad in the whole world. Literally the only clubs below us who on any level should maybe not be are Chelsea and Newcastle, both of whom will go above us if they win their games in hand. As to the others directly below us, does anyone seriously think that it takes something special to be above Brighton, Wolves, Bournemouth, Fulham, Palace, etc?"
Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
"Russ no matter your Moyes hating, he has obviously done some things right in order for us to be in Europe 3 times and winning a cup. Manager will be under pressure to do better I feel, perhaps only in being entertaining, realistically other teams will improve and top 4 will stay."
Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
"Slot seems worth a look, plays good football and seems to not be afraid to use youngsters A manager committed to bringing through the excellent youth we have at our disposal at the moment should be high on priorities"

Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
"RM10 2:11 Tue Apr 9 I don't think that special. Moyes tinkering in games has probably cost us 12 points at least. His negative set up may have cost us five more. I think with a much more positive and expansive coach with this current squad we could easily be where Villa and Spurs are. You talk about going for a cup. It also helps if you have a manager that doesn't throw the cups. So for me, a younger coach with a more modern and fresh approach to the game and an attacking philosophy will get us up the league and more competitive. And people talk about all this 'careful what you wish for' and say you shit like 'yeah, it will be entertaining football but fighting relegation'. Well, that's bollocks. It's not like we have a choice. The two are not exclusive to each other. We can get a coach that plays exciting attacking football AND has us up in the euro spots. All the people that say we have to sacrifice one are just Moyes dinosaur lazy pathetic cunts who can't be bothered to think about 'what might be' as it takes too much effort for them to get off their arses and imagine West Ham as a modern club. They are living in the fucking past."

Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
"it's about improving the football, that naturally maintains the league position. we need a coach that doesn't sideline half the squad because he can't work with them, it's unsustainable (especially late in the season) just relying on about thirteen players. lastly, it's important having someone that values the talented lads we have in the lower age teams, something he clearly doesn't give a shit about"
