"R??ben Amorim on travelling to London to meet with West Ham: “It was a mistake. The timing was completely wrong”. “I’m always asking my players to be respectful… and I wasn’t — even if I informed the club before”. “I’m so sorry and I apologise to fans, club and players”"

Whilst I think that Liverpool have been affected by announcing Klopp was leaving at least it has allowed them to crack on with getting a new manager in. I just hope we have lined someone up and that Sullivan doesn't do his usual 'we tried' before getting Benitez or another old name in.

"Shorty - Of course we might not have been interested, I'm just putting the notion out there. What if we were though, and what if there is someone we are interested in, and surely we must have some names at this point, what do we do approach them and say we want you but can you keep it quiet for a few weeks because we don't want to upset Moysie?"

Or maybe we wasn’t interested. And have someone else in line.? Let’s be honest. The information us and media are getting is coming from a piss stain alcoholic lapdog. And the rest is hypothetical’s. Still it keeps the barbarians from the gates. And is all good fun.!

"Yep, off to Milan by the looks of it, was reading earlier that the Milan fans don't want him. Regardless, if this an example of possibly missing out on someone because of our dithering? Think it was pretty clear that Lop wanted a PL job but how can he gamble on that and turn down Milan?"

ManU are looking at Newcastle’s director of football. So Eddie is automatically being linked to the retail park. And Jose did a puff piece in The Times this week. Newcastle was mentioned. So you can make of that. What you will.?

Newcastle and Chelsea won’t get rid of that list. Will give it one more season and Milan want Lopetegui.

If someone has to be really persuaded to come to the greatest city in the world to manage a top ten premier league club for £5m a year then we should bin them off. I want a manager who wants to make west ham great not to use us as a stepping stone

Hmmm Can understand Alonso's decision as this is his first full season as a manager, he is in GERMANY & you imagine he thinks he needs more experience before Liverpool & Real come up Nice position to be in Personally I am happy to go with Steidtens call whether thats Amorim, Fonseca or whoever Not quite so keen on Lopetgi or Tuchel"

Is football at the moment just an elaborate ruse to wind Harry Kane up? Goes to Bayern where they somehow don’t win a trophy for the first time in forever (granted they could still win the CL but I doubt it- this will age well if they do) and now he learns Ralf Rangnick is going to be his next manager. Bloke is cursed!

"Seems if the press are to be believed the very public meeting Amorim had with us was all for show and to get Liverpool's attention? I also note that several West Ham YT channels were saying that Amorim was going to put out a statement on Friday as to why he turned down West Ham! I haven't seen anything about any statement, but it's also now almost certain (as of Friday!) that Slot is off to Liverpool, maybe Amorim is having second thoughts if no statement was forthcoming and this time taking our interest seriously. This is all pure speculation mind!!!"
