Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
It’s Amorim. As for the Italian league. It’s dead for a myriad of different reasons. It’s never getting back to the summit of being the best league financially. And like it or not that’s the metric all business are measured by.

RB 100% that happens - i think its more competetive here and someone with a significant success/ promotion / trophy on their CV is more likely to get a job - like Iraola - semi final of Spanish cup and a promotion/good job with Rayo. Also the rest of the world speak English so we're an open market for them. (except Shteve McLaren of course - successful British export :) Howe and Martin O'Neill come to mind as home managers who took teams up and consolidated - obviously successful. Warnock kept getting jobs as he got multiple promotions and kept teams up (sometimes). The McKenna bloke at Ipswich is probaby worth a look.

It’s a cultural thing goose. Here if you’re English. You never be good enough. Italy. If you can’t make there. You never make it anywhere.

"Have to love the passion of Italians, just a different culture to here. I'm not totally against Lop, not first choice and think he comes across as a bit dour, but I think he might be OK. Fwiw, Dawson speaks very highly of him."

@JacobSteinberg : West Ham’s move for Julen #Lopetegui back on the table. Milan move looking far less likely than it did on Saturday morning. Quick lads.... someone start a petition.

De Zerbi is the media’s flavour of the season.Rumour has it. The mere mentioned of him in the Old Trafford board room. Has a knight of the realm unzipping.!

"It would be so typical if the AC Milan fans managed to get their directors to change their mind on LOLpetegui, and Sullivan accepts his sloppy seconds."

Not sure Lopetegui is off our radar yet. AC Milan fans have started a ’Nopetegui’ petition and the club are reportedly considering De Zerbi.

Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
"With regards to West Ham looking for a new decent manager, which we clearly are now that the cats out of the bag with the recent Amorim meetings, it is partly in our control if we choose it to be. What I mean by that is should Man Utd likely ditch Ten Hag at the end of the season, they will come for the likes of De Zerbi which would be too good an opportunity to turn down fir him. However if we were more proactive in getting rid of Moyes, then we could steal a march on them whilst Man Utd rag their heels. Especially now Liverpool have chosen to go for Slot which deemed De Zerbis likely destination. Problem is we don't have just 1 dithering Dave at the Club, we unfortunately have 2 of the Dinosaur cunts in charge. We really should be all over trying to woo and charm De Zerbi flashing our cheap West Ham Ann Summers knickers first before Man Utd hitch up their red skirt revealing their luxurious lingerie he'll find too hard to turn down. So get a fucking wriggle on West Ham and long Moyes off now and get him you bunch of dithering slags!"
Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
I can't see Sullivan being decisive and acting promptly on this. I would not be surprised if we missed out on all of those mentioned and we ended up with someone very uninspiring. But that's the pessimist in me. The optimist thinks it's promising that we are at least being linked with some attacking managers with some pedigree. Fonseca and Amorin would be decent if we could get either of them in and even Iraola sounds like a good shout. Please that Lupetogu also rulled out now as the noises from him were too conlicting. I think he'd have some work to do to win over some of the fans whereas Fonseca and Amorin for instance are known to be attacking 99% of us would be excited by the appointment and what might come.

https://www.tntsports.co.uk/football/premier-league/2022-2023/pep-guardiola-hails-brighton-s-roberto-de-zerbi-as-one-of-the-most-influential-managers-in-last-20-y_sto9619952/story.shtml Don't be fooled by Brightons poor form and I hope other Clubs are and we are awake to try and get him if no one else does. He's the real deal and how I want to see a WestHam Team play attractive Football once more. I'd even have him ahead of Amorim if given the choice.

Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
"Agreed, Russ. I don't pay too much attention to recent goings on at Brighton losing form, as I'm a firm believer class is permanent and all that. Don't take it from me either, take it from Guardiola who knows a thing or two in the game... https://youtube.com/shorts/Ca9bnUNFNtk?si=bgAcL0OpLr_iO74y You certainly wouldn't get Dated Moyes coming up with any of that."
Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
"""Time for Sullivan to decide who his main man is and stop flirting with all & sundry"" If he's still going to get involved rather than leave it to Steidten then that there is the problem surely?"
