Saturday football
"The same old three are jostling for position at the top of the Premier League, as they have for most of the last few months. The smallest slip hands the initiative to the others: see Liverpool. On paper, Man City have the weekend’s easiest assignment, followed by Liverpool and then Arsenal. At the bottom Sheff Utd are as good as gone and will start next season with a points’ deduction. It never rains, but it pours. Burnley are nearly as good as gone. That leaves Luton, Forest and Everton, separated by two measly points, battling to avoid the third relegation spot. Luton have picked the day’s short straw while Forest may hope VAR comes to their aid against the unfortunate Wolves. As for us, we could do with three points [i] to alleviate to some extent the misery of another piss-poor performance and late capitulation against Leverkusen; and [ii] to keep us in reasonable touch with the others in the hunting for a sixth placed finish. Come on, you Cherries. The Championship continues to surprise and excite, with relegation-threatened Plymouth issuing an unexpected walloping to leaders Leicester last night. The division mirrors the Premier League insofar as a single point separates the top three. Leeds take on Blackburn and Ipswich host Boro in the day’s most prominent games. At the bottom eight sides, including Millwall who take on Cardiff this afternoon, are competing to finish above the dotted line. Time for a Millwall Relegation thread? *SATURDAY* NEWCASTLE UNITED vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR (1230) BRENTFORD vs SHEFFIELD UNITED (1500) BURNLEY vs BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION (1500) MANCHESTER CITY vs LUTON TOWN (1500) NOTTINGHAM FOREST vs WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS (1500) BOURNEMOUTH vs MANCHESTER UNITED (1730) *SUNDAY* LIVERPOOL vs CRYSTAL PALACE (1400) WEST HAM UNITED vs FULHAM (1400) ARSENAL vs ASTON VILLA (1630) *MONDAY* CHELSEA vs EVERTON (2000)"

"You are the biggest cringe on here, wd40. As much as it's great to see Arsenal fuck up, stop embarrassing yourself. No proper player wants to play under ginger bollocks, regardless of our Intertoto Cup win."

Re: Saturday football
The problem with Chelsea is that you dont know what team is going to turn up they have 4 games they should easily win.... plus a couple they could so we shouldn't write them off.. I think 8th is as high as we can get now and it might not be enough... gotta hope Man U screw up along the way which they are pretty capable of.

Re: Saturday football
"Forget Brighton, they're done and the coach is sulking. IMO we are likely to finish 8th, that will be touch and go if it gets you a Conference spot or not. We can't afford to lose to Chelsea when we go there month end, though."
Re: Saturday football
"I can’t see any of the teams below us catching us, Chelsea has an extremely tough run in, Brightons run in isn’t easy either. It’s a 3 way race, although I wouldn’t be surprised if Newcastle catch Spurs by end of the season. The Geordies are on a roll right now and Spurs has a tough run in too. We need to beat Fulham, Palace and Luton, Chelsea too."

Re: Saturday football
"fucking Spurs! On the odd occasion you may want them to get a result they fuck up and capitulate! at least Burnley and Bournemouth helped us a bit, mind you we still need to do our bit against Fulham. Hoping Villa get a result as well, not that it helps us in anyway just don't want the goon to win the title, a home loss will quickly have them in meltdown and that will do nicely thank you very much!"

"What an object of derision Ten Haag has become, no chance he is there next season. Needs putting out his misery. The easiest game he has had all season was we went there, what was it Moyes said about them before the game?"

"There are millions of Man U ""fans"" throughout the world - the media/UEFA/sponsors clearly need (NEED) Man U in Europe in any way possible; there's only 2 dots to join and they're even on the same piece of paper. It's our mission. along with Newcastle to keep them out."
