Re: Terror attack in Sydney
"Fuck me, the USA has issued a travel warning/alert for Australia on the back of a Nutter in Bondi and a deranged kid yesterday! The rest of the world would have permanent travel warnings on America given these sorts of incidents happen almost weekly and often on a scale far worse than what's occurred here. Septics = Pansies"

"""thinking he'd get the ""turn the other cheek, don't look back in anger"" pacifism that we're told in the west is the correct response to this sort of thing"" Pretty sure that this lot are supposed to follow the teachings of Jesus as well, so they would also have been taught that to turn the other cheek is better than an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. Most of the Christians left in the world probably prefer the old testament to that new age hippy crap though."

Re: Terror attack in Sydney
"Could be interesting what happens with this attack! This Christian lot are old testament types so believe in an eye for an eye and revenge etc and where outside chanting as much as the Police tried to calm things down, not your usual Western Christians who hold hands and sing songs when this kind of attack happens. Mosques in and around Sydney will be on heightened security i would imagine. Hopefully doesn't escalate and more people get hurt. Religion though, i can't help but think is it a good thing? seems the root of a lot of division and hatred in this world, nearly every conflict has roots in it as well,"

"Church stabbing now declared a Terrorist incident, calls for calm in the Middle Eastern Community as tensions running high. Reports the kid was smirking after stabbing the Bishop, also unsubstantiated reports he had fingers(s) cut off during his restraint by other churchgoers! https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/27332785/video-smiling-stabber-attacked-bishop-sydney/"

Re: Terror attack in Sydney
"The church stabbing all over the news here, although this time no one is mentioning Terrorism after the outrage finger pointing, moral Highground taking from the Apologists at the weekend? Old bill (along with the Apologists) won't be too happy if it does turn out to be a J1had1 wannabe! Sizable Middle Eastern Christian community here who fled war and persecution, so if it turns out to be an Islamic nutter will only fuel the tension between the varies factions, especially gang wars which regular make the news here with tit for tat killings,"
Re: Terror attack in Sydney
"Certailnly was the wrong church to attack. The Assyrians Christians have been persecuted in their old homelands by everyone else (especially in Syria) and were, understably, extremely angry when it happens where they have gone for safety. The ones who emigrated to Russia also copped it from the Soviets. I read an article a couple of weeks ago where the last Orhtodox Church and its grounds in the Arab Quarter of Jerusalem is under threat of property development. A combination of shock doctrine and funny money."

"He might have sliced (off) his own fingers. When people stab repeatedly, the knife and handle get slick with blood. His hand/fingers may have slipped over the tang and down the blade. It's a common injury for knife attackers."

"Dwight Van Mann 3:04 Mon Apr 15 Saw that. Fucking right & all if true. Going by the footage it looked like the entire community came out and had to be fought off by police to stop them ripping him apart. Maybe he dropped a bollock attacking eastern Christians (it was an Assyrian Orthodox Church) thinking he'd get the ""turn the other cheek, don't look back in anger"" pacifism that we're told in the west is the correct response to this sort of thing"

"Dwight Van Mann 3:04 Mon Apr 15 The attacker was probably lucky that they'd packed away all the Easter paraphernalia and there wasn't a spare vacant cross, cave and a large boulder lying about."

Re: Terror attack in Sydney
"So, what does society do with a group of people or a person who is treated worse, excluded, disadvantaged, harassed, bullied, humiliated or degraded but very media savvy start to demand that the indiginous population stop doing what they've legally and freely done since reaching the age of majority in their country of birth and follow THEIR customs and traditions - especially if at the base level of their beliefs they tolerate no equals outside their group?"
