"Moyes lost us this tie last week with his fucking abysmally negative tactics and there's absolutely no chance of us scoring 4 goals which is what I'd imagine were gonna need. Blokes a jock cսnt living off winning a trophy against a load of teams who would struggle in the championship. cսnt almost got us relegated last season, yet to some saddos he's their hero. Odd fuckers."

Onsideman Yeah Moyes was giving it the full you've never had it so good in the presser... 3 seasons in Europe and chasing a 4th and the journos giving him every opportunity... I despise him... and for the record we won that final inspite of him .. I maintain we were on our way to losing that game then Paq put Bowen thru and it was game over...

"My only positive take out from last week was they found Antonio a bit of a handful at times. Could get a foul in the box there if we get it that far! If we can, need to press and put their defence under much more pressure. Are the Germans having lasagne at a Canary Wharf hotel this evening?"

"Will be there tomorrow and hoping for a better set up than in the first leg. Big loss with Paqueta and Emerson out, others need to step up (not sure who that will be though). I still reckon he'll go with Johnson on the left wing if there's any doubt about Bowen. I'll likely be going straight from work - what's the position on taking laptops into the stadium? Assume it'll be ok but don't want to get there and have a jobsworth turn me away."

"We need to get and keep the ball better. Last Saturday Moyes plays 2 strikersb but leaves us light in midfield and we look painfully susceptible to the counter with poor cover for the back 4. Without Paqueta or Emerson, we will be relying on the legs and aerial ability of Cresswell at the back stick and Boniface already took advantage of that last week. He may actually have to play Cornet? Nah !! There must be someone he can play out of position there? Or will he shove Antonio wide left and Kudus wide right if Bowen makes it? Then we have the prospect of a central midfield containing Soucek or JWP and Alvarez. Old Oggy will be wheeled out in central defence alongside “The Featherman” Aguerd. Some saying how hard it will be to score three ? Might not be for Leverkusen. Tin hats on methinks :-("

"For my sins I've just watched Fabianski's presser and am currently watching Moyes. My take outs...? Win or lose, Fabianski is a really nice fella Moyes is a chippy, arrogant cսnt. But then we know that, don't we?"

"ludo, that's why in a weird way a 2-0 deficit might work out better than just the odd goal. One-nil down and the options there to remain cagey until a later period in the game. 2-0 though and there is only one way to go."

"They're unbeaten. I don't follow German football but reckon that in the last few months the vast majority of teams they've played against have been set up to stifle. 2-0 down with 90 minutes to change things, we have no option other than to go out attacking and taking it to them. Semi-finals here we come."

I'd be curious what the odds for 3-0 West Ham are for Thursday I will be there cheering on the team .... and staying to the end ... on Thursday but my initial unchanged expectation was defeat home and away. Sorry Its a funny old game but probably not THAT funny If they score first I can imagine ALONSO resting a few so they can concentrate on the semi finals of this and the German Cup now that the Bundesliga is in the bag. That said given they are so close they will want an unbeaten league season .... like the one Arsenal go on about when they drew about 12 games

"Mex Martillo 9:38 Wed Apr 17 Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Leverkusen - Official Match Thread I think if Paqueta was available to play everyone on here would have him starting As long as the stat that shows we haven't won a game without him all season is still live, I wouldn't see that as anything other than an obvious decision. The problem is, he does look like he's checked out"
