"Nick QQQ 12:27 Thu Apr 18 Agree that midfield is where we have to dominate but have rarely under Moyes unless playing pub sides and teams of plumbers and labourers in the conference league. A midfield containing Soucek and JWP is as good as a “white flag”. The idea of Kudus as the number 10 ( his preferred position apparently ) might be worth a go. But its tactical innovation, lateral thinking or “outside the box” and Moyes is an automaton when it comes to tactics and selections for them. He fits players to his unbending approach of sit deep, in shape, narrow and rely on counters or set pieces."

"Moyes plan. 4 defenders plus keeper, then Alvarez,JWP,Soucek Kudus Antonio Cornet Play it safe till half time. 0-0 Bring on Bowen 2-2 aet win on pens. Even if we are 3-0 he will cite the Spurs 3-3 comeback as he already has alluded (deluded ) too"

That Moyes didn't give Cornet a run out at the weekend to at least give him some game time is criminal... bloke is a fucking idiot.

By the end of the day there will only be one English team left in Europe and that’s the claret and blue. Unfortunately Villa.

Even if Bowen did play it won't stop us from conceding with our leaky defence.

All the other PL teams have gone out so far.... we have nothing to lose (apart from our pride in a 0-6 tonking) so let's hope we just go for it and if we do go out then at least go down fighting!

Hard to come up with the optimism that we will get a result. If Bowen is fit it gives us more of a chance but the midfield is where I think we have little to no chance. Saying that I’ll get behind the team and enjoy the game. Likely to be the last European game for a while

"lowlife 8:46 Wed Apr 17 You can take in Laptops they just 'inspect' your bag. There will be a great atmosphere, we need to get the first goal then the place will be rocking. The crowd can influence the ref into giving home decisions and we know it. Corners and free kicks will be vital and please dont leave Cresswell one on one against their nippy attackers. I'm expecting a performance like when we played Mourihno era Terry Chelsea at home, lost one nil to a dodgy offisde but battered them all game and crowd gave the team a standing ovation."

"Will we go through tonight, doubt it! Will we win or lose, not sure! I'm up for it though, so lets give it our all and hopefully that will drive the team on. If we're going out lets go out fighting and with pride."

As Englands only current European champions let’s show some pride tonight. If we are going down let’s go down fighting. I did for am looking forward to it. Hopefully the handbrake got broken in Germany last week. Let’s go for it. I have seen a lot of German football and no team (other than Bayern) have actually had a go at them. All the teams have sat back. Who knows what might happen. JWP will get a free kick tonight so that’s 1 goal we have.

Im so pessimistic and missrable that I dreamt we lost 0-5 last night :-( I just dont see a way we can keep them from scoring and get a couple of goals as penalties is the only way we survive I would think. Moyes attempts to play on the proverbial “front foot” tend to be accompanied by setting us up to be wide open to counter attacks which Leverkusen have allegedly been the masters of winning the Bundesliega? Roy Keane described us as “old and slow” when we lost 0-6 to Arsenal. Lets hope we dont go down that way again and Antonio or someone has the game of their lives and everything we hit goes in.

"Texas, thats what Moyes does wins, ?üòÇ?üòÇ?üòÇ Seriously, one thing I have to say, which perhaps quite few will agree with, is as unlikely as it seems that we win tonight and go through, we do have it in us to, there is hope and a small feeling it could happen."
