"As Antonio said post match, we gave them too much respect last week. Bench too weak, why the fuck did he take Alvarez off and not Soucek or JWP, thought he was outstanding tonight. All on ln Moyes. Thanks for the memories but we need a change!"

"I didn't want to watch as I knew the outcome, but such an important game I said I'll watch until first goal. Moyes negative conceding 75% possession and 33 shots to our 1 shot in the 1st leg knocked us out before this game was played. If we had taken it to them in the 1st leg who know. They weren't that good. Wouldn't get in our top 6 Premier league. But he is a coward Moyes, is all about self preservation. Change the manager, we have some good players. Can't fault the players."

"Christ this site gets worse. Great first half, blowing out of our arses second. Didn't turn them round enough second period. Should have dropped JWP deeper and pushed Alvarez on to flight balls over the top as Alvarez was just lumping straight balls through to the keeper. As others have said a weak bench again doesn't help, even the energy of Benny or Pablo might have helped. Officiating was some of the worst i've ever seen, disgraceful."

"Brilliant 1st half effort. Lack of squad depth, coupled with an ageing team, cost us in the end of course. We were knackered after an hour, with no decent options from the bench. No complaints over 180 minutes to be fair."

"Oh well, never going to be easy, thought we did well first half and well in it, second half they seemed to stifle us and then the deflected goal finished us off :-( Ref was card happy, fuck sake and seemed to give everything against us? Not sure it changed the outcome. but was frustrating and unnecessary, Spanish cսnt."

"disgusting officials tonight, bent as a nine bob note. yet another missed opportunity. the performance didn't surprise me, he always takes the handbrake off when on the brink of the sack. we wouldn't bother moaning of the players were shit, no they showed they can compete with a team that hadn't lost all season. it's a shame the twat in charge of them doesn't share the same belief and faith in his own players"
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Leverkusen - Official Match Thread
"Poor fitness, poor bench, poor squad and poor substitutions. Got what we deserved in the end, not much! Three fun years, could be a loooong old wait for the next one with City, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, United, Newcastle, Villa and Chelsea about. Fighting for 9th and 10th for the next decade."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Leverkusen - Official Match Thread
"Moyes ultimately cost us the season. Not tonight per se because you cannot fault tye performance but no squad developed means no options to change things and tiring players. They sub 5 and 1 first half to negate Antonio, 2 at half time to press more and another 2 to freshen legs. Moyes as usual leaves it all too late with his limited options, subs our MOTM IN Alvarez to keep tiring Soucek on. Kudus also not in his best position was lively but ineffective overall. Like I say, great effort but in the end Moyes s to blame for his squad management and in game management and tactics over he seasons. I mean why cant we press like that every game like we did 1st half? Because we will blowing out our arses as we were today on 60 mins and no one to come on and whiever comes on not match sharp with so few. MInutes We got some players to build with but desperately need 4 or 5 more and a new approach once thd right pkauers brought in and developed Good effort but like Moyes the “ nearly man”’fell short"

"Well done to the team. Gave everything. No energy or depth to maintain the fantastic first half. Shows we can be equal to these sides when we are not playing ridiculous negative football. The lack of signings, selling or loaning out squad players and ridiculously late subs finished us. Alvarez and JWP were stand out first half. Bowen clearly not fit. Two chances today a sharp Bowen does better with. Officials were getting on my nerves with their bias. Either way a performance to be proud of that we dont see often enough under this manager."
