"Dear David, You gave us some great times and some memorable victories plus a trophy. Unfortunately, time waits for no man. The inability to manage a transfer window, bring academy players into the first team and use 16 players during a match will mean it's time to say goodbye. Pack up your belongings from your London flat, return to Lytham St. Annes and take a well earned vacation in your second home in Florida. It's time to end our relationship in a dignified way."

"Yea it was a decent effort, boo hoo, shouldn't we expect that anyway? Due to not having a squad we couldn't change it up like they did, which resulted in the proverbial game of two halves, in the end we couldn't even hang on to inflict their first defeat of the season upon them, which would have been a small consolation. Ultimately, of course, the tie was lost in the first leg. Yes, the ref was a disgrace, but he didn't do anything that changed the result and did also book at least 5 of their lot. That's your lot now Moyes, pack your bags up and fuck off."

Thanks for the last 3 seasons moyesy. In Europe Semi Final - lost to eventual winners frankfurt Winners Quarter Final - lost to a team that has gone unbeaten in all competitions thus far. If only we have that first half performance set as a benchmark.

"A two goal lead AND Paqueta's suspension from the first leg were too much. One goal and Paqueta playing tonight, and I think we would have done it."

If we set up like that every week there would be mo Moyes out thread. Of course we’ve seen it before and then he reverts. By all accounts he’s off. Thanks David.

Went out on our swords. The damage was done first leg but could not have asked for a whole lot more tonight. Rotten luck and a rotten set of officials against a side who really didn’t need any extra help. That equaliser was unnecessarily cruel. Proud though. All I wanted to see was a fight and to take the game to them. And we did that.

First half exceptional. Personnel and formation change for them at half time did for us and in the end the depth of our squad was cruelly exposed. We had nothing. £400m spent and nothing Kudus went straight down the tunnel on the whistle which I thought was poor given the circumstances. I would be surprised if he's still with us next year

I'm as Moyes out as anyone. But why's that Welsh smurf getting away with criticism. Both steitden and Moyes wanted benrhama and fornals kept. He overruled both of them . Same happened with the omishen signing . He's deliberately torpedoed our season . Vile fucking scum .

"The first leg we almost pulled it off, two late goals were in the end too much to come back from. First half tonight we outclassed Germany’s best team, they were all over the place at the back. Bowen scores that chances from 6 yards out or if Antonio gets out of the way of Alvarez’s shot we go 2-0 and they would have collapsed. On another night we would have won. Second half we ran out of gas, it took a lucky deflection for them to get level. All in all they will come away fucking happy that’s all over. Nothing but respect for the players and Moyes another great season of European football. Loved every minute of it. Kudus is real quality, love his effort his skill his brain, he is who we should build our team around. Him and Bowen up front together are great to watch. Hope we get to keep him for many more years. Gutted we are out, hopefully we can muster enough effort for Palace so we can do it all again next year. No complaints from me."

"at least we gave them a game this week really missed Paqueta as we will if he goes in the summer great effort and much better performance. still gutted - what might've been etc but small margins - missed some good chances (as did they) always gonna be hard after 2-0 1st leg, that 2nd goal was the killer. COYI - a couple of performances like that in the league please (but wins pls)."

We gave it a go and didn't get walloped which is about the best that we could do. Beyer Leverkeusen's unbeaten run now extends to 44 games which is quite something.

Well done the players… Should have had at least 2 first half… Combination of small squad…missing key players…little quality on bench… Dropped back second half…subs too late…the usual Moyes negatives… They used full subs especially quick players against our tired old ones… Doubt we’ll qualify for Europe next season… Definitely need to upgrade on Dinosaur Moyes… Thanks Moyes…please move on… Thanks to players…keep up the pressure to the last games…

"Brilliant first half, almost got infront couldn‚Äôt have asked for more, although a more experienced sub bench might have seen us trough to the semis. Shame we fucked up the first leg in Germany . Ref was an absolute cսnt . Not too disappointed the players and crowd have their alll"

"We've repeated the same mistake we made 2 years ago and are now going backwards. Didn't strengthen again in January despite it being obvious we needed to, but this time we weakened the squad by letting 3 players go. Still no striker bar Antonio who is 2 years older. Out in the quarters. Dropping down the league. Time for Moyes to go!"

"The difference over the two legs was our manager feet. Can't fault the first half thought we were excellent, and the atmosphere was cracking. Alonso saw things needed to change, and changed them with subs. Ours waited for six minutes to be left in a game where we had to score, and put our second choice right back on."

"The difference over the 2 legs was the quality on the bench, there’s was vastly superior. Superb first half, should have been 3 up. I guess Moyes will go but what a journey over the last few years."

"Without our best player available we fucking battered them in the first half, should have been at least two up. Can't knock that. It's just a bit of a shame Moyes threw the tie away in the first leg, neglected the squad to the point we had close to zero options to bring on when we were blowing out of our arses and left it at least 15 mins too long to bring a sub on and then took the wrong cսnt off. We didn't deserve to win the tie but the change in the ref at half time was highly alarming. Outrageous decisions against us all second half. Leverkusen time wasting from 30 mins onwards, no idea how they won their league, they are not a great side. Not sure what I feel about it, better than I was expecting but another missed opportunity but hopefully it highlights what a shit manager Moyes is. We must be rid of the prick."

"As Antonio said post match, we gave them too much respect last week. Bench too weak, why the fuck did he take Alvarez off and not Soucek or JWP, thought he was outstanding tonight. All on Moyes. Thanks for the memories but we need a change!"
