World Snooker Championship
"Ding, Brecel, Selby, Carter and Williams have already gone home. if Ronnie doesn't win it this year then I fancy either Ray Reardon or Graham Miles."

Re: World Snooker Championship
Yeah it’s probably a bit too much of a long journey for you for it to be worthwhile sadly! It’s good though. Such a lovely venue.

Re: World Snooker Championship
Wilson totally deserved it. By far the best and most consistent player in the tournament. Seems like a good bloke too.

Re: World Snooker Championship
Gary Strodders shank 12:01 I’m off there to watch a couple of sessions including Jimmy. It’s good fun and a nice cheap way of seeing the crucible in all its (maybe half or 2/3 Full) glory.

Re: World Snooker Championship
The world seniors tournament starts at the crucible on Wednesday and is televised on channel 5. I will be interested to see if Tony Drago has slowed down much and whether Jimmy White can bag the crown once more.

"Gary Strodders shank 3:46 Thu May 2 Indeed. Not the most endearing bloke, bless him. Hopefully its shaping up to be a Bingham / Wilson final. That will be tasty."

Re: World Snooker Championship
Dave Gilbert seems a bit of a complex character The interview after he won his quarter final was a bit awkward .he didn't seem to know what to say or where to focus although he does come from farming stock . The player he beat Maguire is another fat bastard.

"Can confirm that Bingham is a Basildon boy. Has been in my local several times and, without meaning to sound cliche"", is a genuinely lovely and humble bloke. Happy to talk to anyone who wants to talk to him. I have spoken to him a few times and he is one of your own. As for his team, I actually thought he was a Hammer but obviously not."

Re: World Snooker Championship
"Zico - Ag. still mildly amusing as there may have been some twerps readying for the highlights who didn't know. I wouldn't mind seeing Wilson win it, bit of a drip yes, but a good player who has been around for a while now who has never appeared to have the mental capacity to win the big ones, not sure why he's called the warrior. Also he has young kids, so the prize money would probably make a very big difference to his life."
Re: World Snooker Championship
Did make me laugh last light when in Bingham's interview he revealed that Higgins had lost to Wilson and minutes later the commentator said they were going to show Higgins/Wilson highlights as if we didn't now know the score!
Re: World Snooker Championship
He did an interview where he said he was Liverpool but doesn't really watch much football. Just like most other Liverpool fans.

Re: World Snooker Championship
Bingham looks like a bloke who has a 3&3 in the pie and mash shop Waistcoat straining at the seams and more chins than a Chinese telephone directory. Fair play to him.

"Haven't watched snooker for years but got sucked into last nights game, didn't have a clue who Bingham was and he turns out to be a local lad and a Hammer, still wanted Ronnie to win though....."

Re: World Snooker Championship
"Not for your casual fan, it won't. If Ronnie's out, then there won't be many interested in it. I hate to say this, but the future of the sport probably needs for it to be in China."
