London Mayor
Great to see common sense prevail and we didn’t end up with the ridiculous Tory candidate after yet another disgraceful Tory campaign. Well done Sadiq.

Re: London Mayor
"Sadiq Khan simply cannot be trusted. He is in it for himself and his 'people' The bloke won't answer a simple question and I'm sure Labour will end up appointing him PM. The uk is fast becoming Pakistan mk2 and London is the tip of the iceberg. In 20 years Christianity will be eradicated in this country and Islam will take over. Call me a racist, call me a scaremonger etc etc but it's all there to see. Even Muslim clerics are telling us what they are doing but everyone is too busy making sure we aren't hurting people's feelings to stand up and take notice. Sharia Law in London during Khan's third term In charge, I'd bet my house on it."

"Phall Throw 9:35 Sat May 4 'Khan is everything that is wrong with London and the UK. It is safe to say the reason he won was because (we all know but I won't post it because i'll get banned) It is obvious that certain people have control over him.' Frightened of a ban for saying what? Rigged election? Massive Muslim fraud? London taken over by some kind of Asian Mafia? There you go , I said it for you and I'm pretty sure I won't get banned, Why? Because unlike you I don't believe any of it. I'm a white, West Ham supporting dyed in the wool Londoner and voted for Khan. I don't like him personally and think he's too arrogant and ready to dismiss people like me, white Cockneys as right-wing thugs but it's actually cunts like you that give decent white people a bad name, 'Out of London these days'? Good, stay fucked off."

"Branded self entitled muppets like you are everything that's wrong in society, you cunts price local coastal families out of living in the towns & villages they grew up in and destroy local communities that have the arrogant affluent townies infest their villages & towns in the summer then leave them empty in the winter leaving businesses struggling and communties empty."
Re: London Mayor
"ray winstone 8:13 Sat May 4 There is certsinly someting wrong with the Conservative selection process to end up with a wingnut like Susan Hall as the candidate. A marginal improvement on the sex-case who was their original first choice. It was also pleasing to see Count Binface beat the Britain first candidate. I expect him to turn up in Richmond, Yorks for the next GE. A terrible night for the Tories. Ben Houchen scraped in despite a 20%+ swing to Labour and Houchen not mentioning his party on any of his campaign meterial and lost, pretty much everything else."

Re: London Mayor
"I wouldn't worry too much about Khan but... ""The United States shared “gobsmacking” evidence with Britain at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic that suggested a “high likelihood” that the virus had leaked from a Chinese lab, The Telegraph can reveal. Five Eyes intelligence-sharing nations were convened in Jan 2021 to discuss the possibility of a “lab leak”, as the US warned that China had covered up research on coronaviruses and military activity at a laboratory in Wuhan. In a previously unreported phone call in Jan 2021, Mike Pompeo, the former US secretary of state, presented evidence that supported the lab leak theory to his counterparts, Dominic Raab, then the Foreign Secretary, and representatives from Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Speaking to The Telegraph, two Trump administration officials accused Mr Raab and the UK government of ignoring the lab leak theory because of resistance from government scientists who supported the explanation that the virus had jumped between animals and humans. Mr Pompeo presented a summary of classified American intelligence reports collected in the early days of the pandemic and compiled by the State Department. The intelligence reports themselves are understood to have been shared separately with the UK via the Five Eyes network between Oct and Dec 2020. “We saw several pieces of information and thought that they were, frankly, gobsmacking,” said one former official who worked on the intelligence that informed Mr Pompeo’s report. “They obviously pointed to the high likelihood that this was indeed a lab leak.”"

Khan said he has no plans for pay per mile driving in London. So that is definitely coming in soon. He hasn't spunked £150m on Project Detroit for nothing

Re: London Mayor
Since I first voted in the 1980s the general direction of play has been the same. There's plenty of taxes to pay and it's difficult to quantify the benefits sometimes and broadly there's a huge public sector that has to be fed. Then the private sector has become more and more dominated by huge corporations. So we have huge government and huge corporations dominating much life but not all. During the time I've been voting we've had huge immigration and now have many leaders who are immigrants or the sons and daughters of them. I'm not convinced a lot of their core values are the same as mine but luckily I don't live in a Northern shithole. I do live in London and I still love it. There's always a chance that may change but my second place on the Isle of Wight will be charging me double local tax as its a second home and the Tories have given them the right to do this so the Tory councillor decided it was a gift he just couldn't not take. They don't even empty the bins. I expect London to get a bit worse.

"It also means that Khan can now push on with his C40 Cities Zero carbon initiatives. He doesn't care about the crime -. Phone theft, shoplifting, tool theft, knife crime, bike and motorbike crime, car theft are rife in the capital. London is such an unsafe place to be these days but that doesn't matter as long as net zero happens to protect his position as head of this quango. https://www.c40.org/leadership/the-c40-co-chairs/"

Re: London Mayor
"These elections are just there to give the illusion of democracy. The mayor is all bullshit and should be scrapped, I've no idea why we need one, especially one who is affiliated to a political party. I don't know anyone who thought the result would be anything else. Elections where the turn out is so low should be null and void anyway. They aren't a big enough representation of the people. None of the young people I know other than the 'activist' types can be bothered to vote."
Re: London Mayor
"Oh how wonderful! Cause for celebration! Let’s get this party started pop pickers with this old classic from the Clash! ""London Calling"" London calling to the faraway towns Now war is declared, and battle come down London calling to the underworld Come out of the cupboard, you boys and girls London calling, now don't look to us Phoney Beatlemania has bitten the dust London calling, see we ain't got no swing Except for the ring of that truncheon thing The ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in Meltdown expected, the wheat is growing thin Engines stop running, but I have no fear 'Cause London is drowning, and I live by the river London calling to the imitation zone Forget it brother, you can go it alone London calling to the zombies of death Quit holding out, and draw another breath London calling, and I don't wanna shout But while we were talking, I saw you nodding out London calling, see we ain't got no high Except for that one with the yellowy eyes The ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in Engines stop running, the wheat is growing thin A nuclear error, but I have no fear 'Cause London is drowning, and I live by the river The ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in Engines stop running, the wheat is growing thin A nuclear error, but I have no fear 'Cause London is drowning, and I live by the river Now get this... London calling, yes, I was there too And you know what they said? Well, some of it was true! London calling at the top of the dial And after all this, won't you give me a smile? London calling... I never felt so much alike alike alike alike..."

"the little cսnt is just following orders, most coming from the scum currently in government. the conservative party doesn't exist now, they're all pushing a communist agenda and hate the public, especially those born here"
Re: London Mayor
"Just be clear about that last post. The people who stepped in to help my son were Asian. I am not trying to say white=good and non-white=bad. Just that multiculturalism of which Khan has pushed and championed has created disharmony, friction and low trust levels. And the ethnic groups which have the bigger problems with violence are being protected by him instead of them taking responsibility of the problem element amongst them. And in the case of stop and search that he actively tries to stop, it would be black lives he would be saving if he allowed it to be properly used and he stopped pretending that its disproportionate use towards blacks is racist."
Re: London Mayor

"""Stevethehammer - have you actually ever been to London in the last 12 months, or ever. I don't recognise the City you describe other than in the wild fantasies of GBNews/Daily Telegraph/Daily Express."" I live in London and I recognise his description. It gets more dangerous as each year passes and behaviours and attitudes that you would usually associate with the third world are increasingly observed around me here. Won't go into too much detail in here, but my son had to be rescued just last week after a gang surrounded him and his friends in the late afternoon. Major high streets local to me have ethnicity based groups controlling certain areas, you just keep your head down as you pass them. Few of the white families from the local schools let their boys 'play out' and the stories you hear when you talk to the boys of the fear they have of just moving about or getting home from school is sad. Anyone denying that multiculturalism has made this city dangerous is just idealogically motivated."

"Common sense? What exactly is sensible about a mayor who actively turns away rampant knife crime, a crime rate that has skyrocketed since he took charge, an extended Ulez putting thousands out of pocket every day in favour of a vanity project and a city that is quickly becoming a mirror of a third world hellhole. Sure hate the Tories, but Khan has turned into into his personal playground and another 4-5 years will see the city burn tk the fucking ground anyway now."
