Revolut
Anybody used it? The customer service is shocking firstly. Been on the chat for 30 minutes and I’m still waiting for simple explanation as to the best/cheapest and quickest ways to add GBP from a French bank account or visa and the subsequent charges. Getting everything other than that answer. Any other products good for this anybody uses? Just for buying stuff in the UK for a trip

"Mrs V has one, I didnt know that it pings your phone each time its used. Were in Majorca and I said I was gonna have a quick pint on the way back from the beach. When I got back to the room and she pointed out that the quick pint was actually 4, I thought I was being spied on, or grassed up."

Re: Revolut
Because when I came back I still had £60 left and it was easy to just pay that back to my current.

"Yeah I did for half as an experiment and it only really made a small difference I would not bother next time I would leave it in GBP, pay in Euros and let them convert it as their conversion rates are up to date and fair."

Re: Revolut
OK thanks. So you put money in pounds and then converted with the app to Euros? Beter rates than just using visa car abroad? 1hour in and no basic i fo yet from the chat! Now asking for the first 6 digits of my French visa card ffs? It’s just a general question

Re: Revolut
Yep used it on a cruise recently. Converted half to Euros in advance but left half as GBP and simply paid Euro and went through the conversion like a normal credit card. The difference over £200 worth of each was nominal TBH.
