Sport Witness (with surely a late April Fool joke) Insistence player ‚Äòclose to signing‚Äô for West Ham after Hammers said to have made offer West Ham United are one of the clubs in the picture to sign West Bromwich Albion‚Äôs Grady Diangana in the summer window. The attacking midfielder finished the season with seven goals and eight assists from 38 games and his performances have caught the attention of a few Premier League sides. That‚Äôs at least what Africa Foot United are reporting, and add that West Ham could be the West Brom player‚Äôs next destination. Diangana has just over a year left on his current deal and his situation with the Baggies has caught the attention of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Brighton & Hove Albion, Leicester City, Lazio and AS Roma. West Ham could take the lead as the report states they have offered ¬£7m plus ¬£3m bonuses to West Brom. It‚Äôs further claimed the DR Congo international is ‚Äòclose to signing‚Äô for the Hammers. He spent 10 years at West Ham, including four years with their first team, before joining the Championship side in 2020. The deal isn‚Äôt completed yet and other interested parties could still take him away from West Brom in the next window. Player likely to leave West Ham despite renewing contract ‚Äì Hammers won‚Äôt sell him for cheap By Naveen Ullal West Ham United goalkeeper Nathan Trott has been on loan at Vejle Boldklub since 2022 and it‚Äôs not clear where his future lies. The 25-year-old‚Äôs current deal with the Hammers expires in June and earlier this year, he revealed that West Ham have an option to extend it for two more years. The Premier League side have activated the renewal option, according to Tipsbladet. Trott has kept eight clean sheets and conceded 35 goals from 31 games for Vejle this season. His form has seen several clubs show interest, and those clubs had been hoping to sign him for free in the summer window. A free transfer is now ruled out after West Ham extended his contract until 2026, but a move could still take place in the next window. Alphonse Areola has been the first-choice goalkeeper at the London club this season, with ?Åukasz Fabia?Ñski providing cover to the Frenchman. Trott is unlikely to get game time if he were to return to West Ham. Therefore, Tipsbladet state the goalkeeper is more likely to be sold this summer, despite the renewal. The report adds that West Ham don‚Äôt intend to sell him for cheap, without mentioning their demands. Standard West Ham confirm major backroom changes ahead of Julen Lopetegui arrival Kevin Nolan, Billy McKinlay and Rob Newman are among those following David Moyes through the exit door Malik Ouzia West Ham have confirmed a major clear-out of their backroom staff ahead of Julen Lopetegui‚Äôs arrival, with Kevin Nolan, Billy McKinlay and recruitment chief Rob Newman among those leaving the club. Lopetegui‚Äôs appointment as David Moyes‚Äôs successor will be announced later this week and the former Real Madrid boss will arrive with his own long-term coaching team. Fellow Spaniard Xavi Valero, West Ham‚Äôs goalkeeper coach, is expected to be the only survivor among Moyes‚Äôs senior staff, with assistants Nolan, McKinlay, Johnny Heitinga and Henry Newman all departing. A shake-up behind the scenes this summer will also see technical director Tim Steidten given the power to lead on transfers, with head of player recruitment Rob Newman departing. Newman was known to be a close ally of Moyes but there have been tensions over transfer targets between the manager and Steidten this season and the club are keen to streamline that part of the operation. Moyes managed his final game in Sunday‚Äôs defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad and confirmation of his exit earlier this month was always likely to mean the end for the majority of his staff. McKinlay has spent more than four years at the Hammers across two spells, while Nolan returned as a coach in February 2020, having captained the club as a player. Former Dutch international Heitinga, who played under Moyes at Everton, joined the staff last summer following the departures of Mark Warburton and Paul Nevin. At the same time, Henry Newman was promoted from his role as an opposition analyst, while Mark Robson stepped up from his post as U21s boss. The latter is now set to return to a position in the club‚Äôs academy but Newman has left, along with technical advisor Alan Irvine, fitness coach Nick Davies and head of performance analysis Jamie Osman. ‚ÄúThe Club would like to thank Billy, Kevin, John, Henry, Rob, Alan, Nick and Jamie for their hard work, commitment and dedication to West Ham United and wish each of them all the very best in the future,‚Äù a statement read. West Ham Way Reporting on The West Ham Way Patreon, our Podcast co-host and club insider Ex has provided a comprehensive update on the current state of play, with a new-look backroom team taking shape in what is widely regarded an an exciting chapter for the club. ‚ÄúWest Ham have their first recruitment meeting today to plan for new signings with the new manager Julen Lopetegui,‚Äù stated Ex. ‚ÄúThe team trusted with the rebuild are as follows: Tim Steidten, this man needs no further introduction as his move has been very high profile. He is said to have been very behind the appointment of Julien Lopetegui as he is to have a key role going forward with recruitment and more freedom then he had under Moyes. ‚ÄúMoyes ultimately had the final say on transfers and is said to be one of the mutually agreed reasons he left the club because he didn‚Äôt want to hand more power over to Steidten where as the new manager is happy with the arrangement. Steidten has brought in his brother Moritz to the club. Moritz is Tim‚Äôs younger brother and was a former player himself in the German leagues. He previously worked for 9 years as a scout for German side Werder Bremen. ‚ÄúIt is here that he met Max Hann. Max Hann makes us another part of the team. He is said to have a very modern approach to recruitment and is already driving a number of new initiatives in the club. His title will be head of Technical Recruitment and Analysis and he is said to be very skilled at using data to recruit. He has also been an assistant manager at Darmstadt 98 and Dynamo Dresden. Max is only 28 and has an already very impressive CV that makes him highly rated across Europe in his field. Finally, making up the team is another 28 year old, Dylan Curnell. Dylan has been at the club since June 2018 having moved from Cardiff academy performance analyst. His first role at West Ham was as an under 18s performance analysts before his good work got him promoted to the Head of Academy Analysis. He was part of the successful Academy sides staff in recent years and this work got him the role of First Team Recruitment Analysis and he now becomes the longest serving member of the recruitment team. Dylan is said to be a big West Ham fan as well, which I always think is important to have in each of our backroom teams! ‚ÄúMany of the Academy players who have worked with Dylan always speak very highly of his skills. It appears that the club are very excited about the new recruitment team that they have created and that following a meeting today the club will move quickly to sign some targets. ‚ÄúTwo players who could be the first to join the club are ones that we have already revealed on Patreon. We believe talks are progressing with Brazilians Wesley Gassova and Fabricio Bruno with the club hoping to conclude deals soon. ‚ÄúGassova is an exciting young forward who plays for Corinthians. He is 19 and very highly rated. He will bring a lot of attacking flair to the club. Fabricio Bruno is a more experienced 28 year old centre back. He currently plays for another Brazilian giant in Flamengo and has already played twice this year for the Brazilian national side making his debut against England in March 2024. As Marca @asmarcatr SPECIAL - BREAKING NEWS: West Ham United made an official offer of ‚Ǩ26M to Fenerbah?ße for 24-year-old versatile left-back Ferdi Kadƒ±oƒülu. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is also a big fan of the player and would love to sign him."
