Holidays this year - where ya going
"I think after the back and forth of France for past few years, I am thinking of going West to Central or South America. PanamaHat be warned hahaha but I am also considering Belize or Argentina. Where are you all going......... On a side note, if anyone is planning on booking big on Easy jet in next 2 weeks, hold fire and DM me as I have a large voucher which is transferable and I can save you a couple of hundred quid on your flights"

"Ron and MM-yeah I understand why others would like it, just not for me. I never hang around the hotel and I love to walk around town and everywhere. I just sleep there, maybe an hour max around pool before I'm bored shitless then go out all day, then will pop back to shower and go out again. So would be a total waste for me."
Re: Holidays this year - where ya going
"All inclusives, like anything else, you get what you pay for. Go to a 3* with one buffet restaurant and it will be shit. Go to a 5* ultra all inclusive with a number of a la carte restaurants so you can order from a menu, and order a bottle of wine from a wine list and it’s absolutely fine, especially if you have young children and want the stress of walking around a town for something to eat."

"Never used to fancy all inclusives either, but with family/kids they can be a lifesaver. Kids clubs, wide selection of food to keep everyone happy, usually have good connections/transport and its not like there's armed guards keeping you there if you wanna leave. Often works out much cheaper as well. Going exploring and doing everything yourself is great but sometimes you just wanna relax"

Pentonville Most are all food and drinks until midnight although some only offer local spirits rather than branded drinks. They don't 'get ya' so to speak unless you're only prepared to drink the branded stuff. Most hotels will be pretty upfront about what's included before you book.

"in the words of the great leonard hatred, all inclusive, talk to me is it literally everything. is it between certain times. how do they ""get ya"" back? based on the answers i may go to turkey in the next 2 days on an all inclusvie for a week to decompress."
Re: Holidays this year - where ya going
"Just in a taxi from Heathrow after returning from a fabulous two week trip to Canada and Alaska. Three days in Banff, two days Rocky Mountaineer, two nights Vancouver then seven on Alaska cruise on Celebrity Solstice with a night again in Vancouver to finish. The views at Banff National Park on the Mountaineer and on the cruise were something else. The Hubbard Glacier was something special. Absolutely fabulous trip, only problem is I need a holiday to get over it!"

"Bungo 11:04 Tue May 28 Much of the Mekon is fucked by several upstream dams recently being brought into use (mostly in China, Laos & Cambodia). You may want to consider further downstream for your cruise. As it's currently the rainy season, it may not be too obvious on a boat, but many of the communities that rely on the river are struggling."
