Anxiety/depression
"Been through bad time lately with suffering with this. Dark thoughts as well. I know some posters on here suffer with this. Anyone come through the other side of this shit?
"A number of posters have been yellow carded and told to stay off this thread unless they have anything constructive to add. This is a thread that has been very useful to so many, for any other posters with scores to settle, argue on another thread. This thread is sacrosant.Thank you"

"Niblets 4:12 Tue Jan 14 Re: Anxiety/depression Exactly , I could have bleated about it or got out of it , guess what I chose ? Now life is great , I’m sat in a bar in Agra and tour Europe with the biggest bands in the world. Life treats you how you allow yourself to be treated."

Re: Anxiety/depression
Bungo it depends to what extent brain function (thoughts) can be controlled by the individual. even if you are having 'those thoughts' you are still in control of your actions??
Re: Anxiety/depression
"So you let a bird use you as her punchbag, you got dumped twice a month, yet she had three kids not yours? And you drove for Tesco? No offence royal, but you sound like a right fucking weapon."
Re: Anxiety/depression
"Strange how some on here seem to struggle with the concept of an organ in the body functioning less than perfectly. Perhaps heart, lung, kidney diseases etc could also be pushed aside or overcome if the sufferer just 'pulled themself together'?"
Re: Anxiety/depression
"Block Maybe they do not need a safe space , can work 40+ hours a week and can blow their own nose. Having been with a girl that had depression so she dumped me every month and twice a month if there was a full moon , but when asked if she was so low with black dogs/clouds etc how did she get 3 kids off to school , washed dressed and breakfast ? “Because I have to” “So if you have to do something then you can ? I’m just a punchbag ? Er......... So forgive me if I do not sympathise with this."
Re: Anxiety/depression
What a surprise the prized cunts on this site in Kenzo and Vexed are totally ignorant to this.

It has all the atmosphere of a movie set. Even McDonalds is quiet in the evening.

"goose 2:19 Tue Jan 14 I was in Plus.. Was only there a couple of months. Company seemed ok, but my own circumstances weren't ideal, including a long trek every morning. But jeez what a dull town."

Re: Anxiety/depression
"I lost my job last year in shitty circumstances, a few days afterwards I opened up to my mrs of three years about how shit I felt about it all. I’ve never opened up or showed vulnerability to anyone else in my life as I’ve always been taught to man up and keeps a brave face. Two days later she dumped me. Lesson learnt!"

"Yeah, I’m feeling a bit down Captain, I know we’re due to go over the top at 6am tomorrow morning but do you mind awfully if I sit this one out... "Kaiser son, I’d definitely be suicidal if I followed someone around a football messageboard because they hurt my feelings at some stage. There but for the grace of god go I, eh?"

"ironsofcanada makes a good point.working class people - and especially working class men - have always been told to 'man up', 'get over it' and all the other toxic things designed to keep them in their box. Fuck that."

Re: Anxiety/depression
I worked for Tesco last year in their HQ in Welwyn Garden City. Depressing on multiple levels.
Re: Anxiety/depression
"There are lot of people that come through the other side, Tom son. It’s much more common than people will admit. I don’t know if Piggy was depressed but I think we all felt a sense of what a waste his death was, and how we’d all go back and talk him out of it if we could. When you’re suicidal though, you can’t think straight. You don’t realise that you can change your life simply by changing the way you think. It’s not easy and it probably won’t happen quickly. It might take years but it’s very much worth it when you’ve got through to the other side."
