Anxiety/depression
"Been through bad time lately with suffering with this. Dark thoughts as well. I know some posters on here suffer with this. Anyone come through the other side of this shit?
"A number of posters have been yellow carded and told to stay off this thread unless they have anything constructive to add. This is a thread that has been very useful to so many, for any other posters with scores to settle, argue on another thread. This thread is sacrosant.Thank you"

"Chiff you are a gent. Respect to you even if we are worlds apart in what we think. I've met plenty of people who know the truth as I do but probably aren't a thousandth as decent a person as I'm sure you are. By the way that doesn't mean I'm up for salvation, because I know it's all bollocks. I've been utterly convinced of it since I had free will at the age of 5 or 7. Ha ha."

"Hi guys, I have never been with a prostitut although I have several friends who have at one time prostituted themselves in the past. Regarding the use of drugs my daughter got hooked on drugs resulting in my wife and I bringing up two of our grandchildren and our other daughter bringing up a third. Can you imagine just how they felt knowing that their mum put drugs before her children. So you see I really would like to have had a drugs free experience of life."

"What we experience in this world is not what God intended and is a result of man turning his back on God and sin. The world that God intended us to live in was full of love, joy, peace, gentlness, kindness to name but a few."

Re: Anxiety/depression
"Developed as a free resource for NHS workers - this is great for everyone. 8 Techniques... Look after yourselves. What is 'NHS in Mind'? With the staff of the ‘NHS in Mind' Slee Parrish, an experienced Senior NHS Nurse and qualified Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist, together with Alex James, a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist and Mindfulness Teacher, have put together a set of free resources for members of staff to access and use to help them look after their mental health and well-being. With the large number of patients expected to need treatment in the coming months NHS staff are going to be working round the clock. The psychological and physical effects on our workforce are going to be huge with high levels of anxiety, stress and fatigue being at the forefront. The inspiration behind this project is Slee's passion to show support and help her colleagues in anyway she can. These easy-to-access, short interventions and exercises will help colleagues through what is expected to be an incredibly difficult time. Slee and Alex have hand picked this selection of interventions specifically with our NHS in mind. Practitioners across different fields successfully use them with clients who experience anxiety, stress and panic. The following 8 techniques are designed to help NHS staff alleviate and combat high anxiety, panic and fatigue. Included are tutorial videos, recorded exercises and YouTube links to ensure staff have the tools they need at their fingertips at any point during the day. Why do these exercises? At times when we are so busy, anxious and stressed it is vital to do exercises like these. When we are experiencing fear, anxiety and stress our bodies go into fight-or-flight mode. This ‘threat’ state is preparing us to either fight or run away, sending more blood to the muscles and narrowing our attention. However, it is also turning off ‘non essential’ functions, one of those being the ‘thinking brain’. We need every part of the brain working for us at times like these so we can follow correct procedures and stay safe with our PPE etc. Doing these exercises helps turn off the fight-or-flight response restoring us to a calm and rational state, re-engaging the brain and helping us to think clearly and stay safe! https://www.nhsinmind.co.uk"

lowermarshhammer 9:01 Fri Mar 27 All the best mate. I received an Advanced Care Plan from my mum's care home and GP last night with regard to if/when an outbreak occurs at the home. Quite frank and to the point. Filling it in felt like I was signing mum's death warrant!

Re: Anxiety/depression
The only thing I give a fuck about right now is my youngest sister outliving my parents. They don't deserve that hat-trick. And to think some people believe in god. What a load of shite.

"I haven't got the time to be depressed about this bollocks. It really is coming at me from all angles. This is a death sentence for my parents and youngest sister. My parents have already buried my two elder siblings, well over 3 decades between the funerals. Has the potential to hospitalise my asthmatic brother and my asthmatic teenage bong busted lungs don't need a snail orgy inside them as well. Mrs LMH is now jobless and everyone of my siblings and their partners has lost or is about to imminently lose their income. SNAFU"

"The wonderful blue sky's almost feel as if God is taunting us. Going out on a nice day is actually a great way of ridding ones self of anxiety and depression and unfortunately we have to stay inside. I don't think that staying at home is going to get to us as much as being told that you Must stay at home, and constantly watching the news and reports about the virus is also rather self defeating."

"That´s right 67. Chemical cosh, the majority, not all, of the pèople I have come across and hospitalised for Bi Polar or Mania and Psychosis are on Olanzapine. Also aids sleep, my Doctor after a review has doubled me to 10mg. It is hard work to get the correct balance of meds as every brain and reaction is different, has took me years, one hour a buzz from anti depressants that are strong , then complete lethargy from meds to slow one down ( keep stable ). Mercenary check your whomail when you have time."
