Woke watch
"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

"To be fair Mike, if you tried to sell me a hammer with ""Mike Oxsaw"" engraved on the shaft for 10 million Rupiah I'd probably turn it down as well."

Re: Woke watch
"When I was working for a German company in Indonesia, 2006, one of their senior managers encouraged us all to sign up to LinkedIn, which we all duly did. One by one we all dropped it because it was not offering us anything we needed that we couldn't get just as easily elsewhere. Personally, I found it populated with lazy cunts wanting me to do all their work for them - one bloke got really stroppy when I wouldn't simply hand over some tool I had developed for my own use. I offered to sell it to him, which he declined, saying his company didn't have the budget to cover it."

"MIke I'd say it's more an addiction than a comfort blanket. The dopamine release for the ""likes"" and retweets. LinkedIn has genuinely made a difference to my life in terms of getting jobs and that's a form of social media. Everything else you're right they make no difference to your life. I had to give them up for 18 months for a job where employer did not want SM and it didn't bother me."

Re: Woke watch
"People - even educated and intelligent people - simply won't walk away from their chosen social media platform(s) in case they ""miss something important"". Ask them what ""important"" things they'd have missed up till now had SM not been available to them and they really (REALLY) struggle to come up with an example. The reality is, that for millions of people, it is a comfort blanket, and if you've ever gone through raising a child and worked at them giving up a real-life comfort blanket, you may have some understanding of why it is so difficult. Of course, nobody on here ever needed a comfort blanket (or favourite toy they could never be without) themselves in real life, so will have no true idea of what being asked to give up SM really means."

"Master The whole point is that Jacob isn't actually influencing or changing policy. ""They"" are causing annoyance. Same as the other wokies. They are not fundamentally changing government policy or law."

"Jacob, female, non conforming, green hair and likes to wear nappies, is not one of the richest people out there. Is one of the loudest voices on social media though. Social media really does need to die."

"PIERS MORGAN: I'm getting no satisfaction from seeing the Rolling Stones surrender to the woke brigade - when the charts are full of rappers glorifying violent sex, misogyny and guns, why is Brown Sugar the song that's deemed offensive? Well said Piers love him or hate him I'm totally with him on this."

Re: Woke watch
People like being ruled over - someone to blame other than themselves when they fuck up. It's called shirking responsibility - or not being truly grown up.

Re: Woke watch
Twoleftfeet The drivers manhandling protestors by pulling them off the road were doing so because they supported the protestors and were worried someone might accidentally leave their handbrake off and roll over and crush the protestors - so moved them out of the way for their own safety. What other possible reason could there have been for dragging them off the road?

"The woke brigade are currently in the process of trying to cancel 91 year old Clint Eastwood because of a quip he made at the Oscars 50 years ago. It was filmed live to a massive audience at the time and has been available ever since, but 2021 is the moment when he has to be punished for it. On the plus side, I hope he's getting a good chuckle out of their attempts."

Didn't they find that one of the protesters is married to a senior manager in TFL on 170k per year?

Re: Woke watch
"According to Dr Diana Warner who is protesting this morning on the M25 people are only getting out of their cars to say they agree with what they are doing. She also claims the police say the same. So when I saw a video of drivers manhandling the protestors it was because they agreed with them, who knew?"
