Woke watch
"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

Re: Woke watch
Branded why are you of all people (who sees everything as a shallow monetary object) worried about councils putting their fear of getting sued (ie: losing money) and using health issue reasons to cover it up? I'd have thought it would be right up your street or recreation ground to turn the tables and save some dosh on poxy flowers and the up keep.......

Re: Woke watch
"Yes. Planting veg would be great, except I'm pretty sure it would all be considered dangerous due to pollution or bird and dog shit or the chemicals they spray on them. In my, obviously enlightened, experience kids are not encouraged to eat flowers. Either in a vase, pot or in the ground. There is a good reason for this as even if I didn’t know which were the most poisonous ones I would guarantee that the kid didn’t get unwell or worse. I would say all but the most retarded would educate their kids this way until they could, if needed, learn which are good and tasty and nutritious and which will kill you. This way of thinking has been the norm until quite recently when obvious retards got the upper hand in H&S leading to the nonsense here and pretty much everything in the Covid fiasco. If a kid eats anything poisonous the responsibility is with the guardian."

Re: Woke watch
Maybe St Blaise Town Council should plant broccoli in place of the daffodils. Sneaky way of getting more vitamins into Johnny and all the other feral little buggers.

Re: Woke watch
If the kid died from eating the Daffs would it be because he child was not looked after properly? Or that people don't know not to eat diffs? If its the second what do most people not eat daffodils?

"I guess we could have a sign saying "" Don't Eat The Flowers"". Thus absolving the council, allowing flowers and hopefully little jonny will still eat them but at no cost to the tax payer."

Re: Woke watch
BRANDED making the most basic of errors in confusing health & safety with political correctness. Most health and safety measures should really be called fear of litigation. It sounds completely bonkers until little Johnny eats a dozen daffodils and his parents are immediately on to the council ready to sue.

"Daffodils have been removed by a council for health and safety reasons in a move branded “totally bonkers” by residents. St Blaise Town Council in Cornwall has cut down more than 1,000 flowers from a recreation ground over fears children could fall ill from eating them. Officials say daffodils can cause harm when consumed because they contain toxic alkaloids, meaning no new bulbs will be planted for the foreseeable future."

"Just clocking of after a solid day’s work of translation and teaching as it goes. Having the usual Guinness and Perla Black and Tan, watching the discus promenade as the aquarium flourishes and am satisfied the younger boy is getting over his cold after Saturday’s shenanigans in the snow with his brother. It was quiet a proper battle and I’m a proud Dad."
