Woke watch
"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

"“ All the big organised religions are sitting on huge amounts of wealth that could be used to alleviate poverty in many parts of the world.” Firstly, that’s not true and secondly, they do more for the poor than any group you have ever been a part of."

"I was annoyed when I saw what they did to the painting they even used campbells as if to add another little connection to art, but then i listened to what they actually said and thought IF they are right (which they believe) it was a good way of doing it. There's far too much art owned by far too many institutions that basically hoard their wealth on the back of getting rich through the poor masses through history.....about time these cunts started giving back......"

"Gaffer58 7:38 Sun Oct 16 I'd agree with that - they chose to be there, so let them stay. Close the gallery if needed and switch off the heating. Won't be life-threatening overnight - or even a bit longer - so leave them be."

"Lock them in one of those rescue huts halfway up a mountain in Winter, with nothing but an oil lamp and a fireplace with old newspapers, swan vestas, kindling & a scuttle or two of coal. Lets see how anti-fossil fuel they are come Spring."
Re: Woke watch

"Have you seen the ""milk-pours"" they are doing? Normally in a Waitrose branch where they are just left to waste a load of milk and make a mess. Bearing in mind that kids in poor countries have no access to fresh, safe milk and have to buy dodgy powdered milk formulae, its astonishing that they get away with it."

Re: Woke watch
I go to that room at the National Gallery quite often (am a member & work a few hundred yards away) and there is always a security person there or in the adjoining room. Where were they and any members of the public while that was going on? Disgrace and mentally unbalanced Spouting some nonsense about people not being able to afford a can of soup before throwing it all over a painting. Not a violent type but in answer to their question the ART is more important to me and anyone who disrepects VINCE is getting a slap.

"Have they ever looked into Van Gogh’s depictions of what coal mines did then, to both mankind and the natural world around those mines? Of all the artists to pick on. They should be imprisoned for their stupidity alone. It’s a publicity stunt for sure, more to publicise them, far more than any ‘cause’ they claim to be behind."

"They glued themselves to the wall and said what is more important, art or life. So I don’t think they gave a flying fuck about the painting. They also have previous arrests for climate protests. They are clearly vermin. I hope they both end up in prison."

Re: Woke watch
"WHU Ex That was my immediate reaction when I heard about it. But it obviously is behind glass. So, if the two concerned had thought ""it's behind glass, this won't damage the painting but will draw attention to our cause"" then actually I think it's a good way to protest. If they had actually damaged the picture itself then that would be completely unreasonable form of protest. They've been charged with Crim Dam to the frame of the picture as that wasn't covered by glass and there was a bit of soup on the frame that had to be cleaned off. Much better than the twats glueing themselves to the road"

"I know it’s not really connected to WOKE, although I would take a heavy bet on the two women involved being completely 100% agreeing with all its sentiments, but that lobbing Tomato soup all over Van Gogh’s sunflowers painting, has pissed me off a lot more than is probably good for my health."

Re: Woke watch
"I would say equality legislation would have had a decent impact upon the market. I would say that women generally getting more equal economically would have a big impact. I would say that gays having important roles in business, government and entertainment has a big impact. I would say that a couple of generations of immigrants integrating would have a n impact. All that said there still does seem to be generally an over reaction by corporations in general and I'm guessing that there is no legislation stopping them from doing this. In the end follow the money."

"SurfaceAgentX2Zero 1:44 Sat Oct 15 There has not been a noticable drop in viewership or purchasing amongst men since such adverts began. Other than a move to different platforms of advertising that affects all groups. There are missteps or even huge gaffs like in every industry but there is no trending to say that it is damaging. Your personal - conciscious - purchasing habits aside (I have them as well), advertising works and continues to grow, pandemic year aside. Even though most people say it does not affect them."
