Disney+ is a financial disaster.So was Marvel Phase 4 even its guaranteed successes barely turning a profit as they gradually replaced all the male heroes with inferior female versions of the characters (Thor, Hawkeye, Hulk) or sub-par female/diverse alternatives (Dr Strange, Captain America, Iron Man, Captain Marvel, etc), The Star Wars franchise has been virtually destroyed by the same method - for instance, turning Luke, an absolute global icon and for 40 years the centre of the whole Star Wars universe, into a bitter useless old man who couldn't compete with some young bird who had just this minute discovered the force, was artistic and commercial suicide. Both these franchises comprise characters that the viewers know and love and don't want to see fucked about with. In Marvel's case. most of the characters are 60 years old. The characters are the stars of these things, not the actors. People will turn out in droves to see Iron Man aka Tony Stark. It probably doesn't need to be Robert Downey Jr in the suit forever, but it does need to be a white man who looks like Tony Stark. You wouldn't cast a white man as Black Panther, for instance. Serves them right. The same thing happened over at WB/DC, but they spotted it a bit earlier and seem to be making some sort of effort to sort it out, although early indications are not encouraging. Plus, they have a billion dollars worth of movies left over from their last dismal effort. Shazam 2 will probably make a bit of money if the weird female villains don't put people off, Flash(point?) will be a disaster 10 years in the making, and Aquaman 2 is apparently shit. Fuck knows why they've made a Blue Beetle movie - it's the legacy Latino version of the character, so DIVERSITY, I expect. A curse on all thier houses."
