"Mashed. Britain is nowhere near 46% practising Christian. Nowhere near. There are twice as many practising Muslims in the UK than practising Anglicans. There’s a lot of nominal Christians in the UK, but at a minimum, in order to be a ‘conservative’ Christian you would have to at least be practising your faith with weekly attendance. You’re probably talking about an absolute maximum of 1 million tops. The increasingly weird values that society has adopted have risen as church attendance has fallen. In terms of institutions, Catholic schools are one of the last places left where the kids won’t be taught to believe that girls are boys and boys are girls etc. As for Muslims, it would be a mistake to say they are all one way or the other. Lots are socially conservative, increasing numbers are socially liberal. Muslim politicians are very socially liberal and as an electorate, Muslims tend to vote for politicians who are at the extreme of social liberalism. This is the polar opposite of the US where Christians tend to prioritise electing politicians who stand for conservative values. There’s no comparison with Christians in the UK because we don’t have ‘Christian’ blocs of voters who can influence a constituency."
