Woke watch
"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

You are a bigger idiot than I thought if you think the right run this country ü§£ü§£ü§£ The left run this country simply by being in control of the civil servants.

"2Left No one has taken over the country. And if they had you could blame your friends who have been running the show long enough now to bear culpability. Anyone read Dr Bernard Lewis' appraisals of the decline of the Islamic world? He argues the root of their problem is that they have surrendered to a position of 'Look what they have done to us..' impotently blaming everything and everyone for their 'plight'. The exact same thing is occurring here. I am minded of Nursey's thoughtful post the other day that highlighted the current craze for running down the country and what it has apparently become. If the world is being overtaken by an effete, limp-wristed collection of the weak and woke they you lot need to ask yourself how you've let it happen and what you are going to do about it."
Re: Woke watch
I see the looney left wingers of WHO all reacted to my post about bad news reporting and seeing it as a pro Raab post. Totally wrong of course as my concern is not about Raab but the fact that news media were creating news and putting pressure on the government to sack Raab. If Raab really was a bully then serves him right but is that what you want your news reporting to be doing? It used to be fair and reported facts. What I saw yesterday was 'NEWS reporters' discussing whether Raab should be sacked before knowing what the report said...

"Only 2 were upheld. The weak and the pathetic have taken over this country, you only have to look at pictures of some of the XR mob taken today to see that."

"The dismal Raab got a cabinet position as payback for running Rishi's campaign to whiteant Johnson and the abysmal woman who replaced him. Understood there were 24 complainants across 3 separate departments he worked in. Are they going to publish the report? He gets £17,000 as a payoff .... unless Rishi puts him back into cabinet in the next 3 weeks"

twoleftfeet 12:44 Fri Apr 21 Re: Woke watch What a shit day for news. XR and their offshoots will bring London to a halt for 4 days. When is something going to be done about these people? They are employed by the same group that employ the government and the opposition. Eventually they will piss the public off enough that we will all willingly accept laws outlawing all forms of protest. And then it’s game over.

"2Left No its not. The Civil Service is indeed there to enact Government policy but it is also there to give advice in terms of policy development. You only need to read Janet and John go to Whitehall to know that. If your company doesn't allow you to question the corporate decisions it makes (which is of course different to refusing to implement them) then you ought to get the fuck out of there, mate."

Re: Woke watch
"That’s bullshit. Civil servants are employed to do what they are asked, if they are told to carry out Brexit negotiations in regards to Gibraltar then do as you are told. It matters not a jot whether you agree with it or not. If I decided to go against my companies policies I would expect to be reprimanded or sacked and that’s how it should be. I wouldn’t cry because the nasty man looked at me in a bad way. The civil service is, in the main, a liberal elite just looking to do their 30 years and leave with a big pension."

Re: Woke watch
2 Left. Well Raab would say that wouldn't he? And if you pay civil servants to give advice then in what world (other than yours) do their views not matter? Why not be honest and say you prefer Raab to the 'lefty blob' and irrespective of today's outcome you were going to come out in favour of the bloke.

"As Raab himself said “ this sets a very low bar “ Civil servants need to remember that they work for the government, what ever political persuasion it may be, and their views are irrelevant. If you don’t like working for a man who expects you to do your job then fuck off."

Re: Woke watch
Deal with Sunak done there and no mistake. Means Sunak doesn't have to make a decision that will be unpopular either way in return for a swift Raab return to cabinet would be my guess. Pretty weak from Sunak. Some would say soft.

"Will, I'm sure that when he was laying on his sunbed in his grace and favour villa in Crete whilst Afghanistan was in chaos, our then Foreign Secretary couldn't have given a toss about anything other than topping up his tan, whether it turns out he's a bully or not, his dereliction of duty in that instance was unforgivable, unless you're a Tory of course....."

Re: Woke watch
"I watched ITV & a couple minutes of BBC news yesterday morning but switched off because all they were concerned about was Dominic Raab being a beastly bully to those poor hard working civil servants who are going to resign if Raab isn't found guilty. I expected him sacked by today. It hasn't happened yet at time of posting so this morning and I see that the PM is being accused of ""dithering"" over a decision on it. I don't suppose for one moment that the report could have found him not guilty could it? Not when the news media make such a fuss about this news BEFORE it happens! Otherwise it's surely a bit like Pravda reporting?"

"twoleftfeet 1:05 Thu Apr 20 Am finding this story hard to follow. According to numerous pieces in the BBC, Guardian etc he has done unspeakable things and is a rotten bully. The only detail I've seen is that he criticised a piece of work by a staff member and 'forcefully threw a tomato in his bin that he took from his sandwich, on a teams call'. Hang him."
