Woke watch

Post arsene york-hunt »

"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

"Fifth I disagree. Gallagher is correct. It's middle-aged women in positions of power; Parliament, councils, senior positions in HR departments, newspapers, tv etc, who have the means to create the problems young men face. You are correct insofar as young people have been brainwashed, at 'uni' or earlier, and lack the resolve to stand up to this nonsense. In the case of young women, the brainwashing and sheer self-interest reinforce each other."

"Noel said whilst criticising ""woke"" ""Angry, white middle-aged women..."" So weirdly, Noel is basically like all the woke people online, who are generally young people (often men including men who think they're women), who are blaming white middle aged women for everything. It's not middle aged white women that are the problem. It's predominantly younger people - men and women - who are telling older white people that they're all racists and transphobes etc."

"Piece here from Noel Gallager, who I think is always worth a listen.. Noel Gallagher says he fears his teenage sons are not able to enjoy life like he and brother Liam did because the world is “too woke”. The 55-year-old former Oasis star has two sons Donovan, 16, and Sonny, 13, with wife Sara MacDonald, 51, who he says he broke up with due to a mid-life crisis. In a rant against “woke” Britain, he said his boys were unable to be as carefree as he and Liam, now 50, were growing up. He said: “We were wild. We didn’t give a f***. “They’re not as carefree. They’re shackled by the internet and wokeism and by living in a country where f*** all works.” Noel, who also has a daughter Anais, 23, with ex-wife Meg Mathews, accused women of, little by little, eroding young men’s confidence. He said: “I’ve got two young sons and I feel anxious for young guys. “They don’t really know how to behave with all this woke s**t that’s now foisted upon everybody. “Angry, white middle-aged women telling young guys how to behave and all this b******s. I look at my sons and I have to put them in a headlock sometimes and say, ‘Don’t worry about these people, just be who you are’.”"

"BRANDED 10:30 Thu May 18 This is where nobody will talk about the elephant in the room (excuse the pun). Fat people say 'fat' is a condition. I'm just fat. No, your not. Your fat because you drink too much alcohol and fizzy drinks, because you eat too much fatty and sugary food, because you don't exercise. You'd become a lazy slob who doesn't care about yourself. That's fine, be what you want, but don't blame a condition or anybody else. It's your problem so deal with it."

"goose 9:11 Sun May 21 I'm afraid this is where we've got to. Can you imagine a show celebrating white heritage being shown that requests black people do not attend? Jesus christ, can you imagine? I mean, I suppose if I wanted to be dramatic I could argue that this is no different to America in the 50's and 60's with premises banning blacks. And Germany in the 30's with oremises banning Jews."

Everybody copies other cultures and if they didn't the world would be a poorer place. I saw a black woman spouting about cultural appropriation on youtube with straightened hair. What is that called?

"Classic English gardens made by “double-barrel-named” designers are putting non-white communities off the Chelsea Flower Show, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) ambassador for diversity and inclusion has said. Manoj Malde highlighted the example of the “paradise garden” by celebrated landscape designer Tom Stuart-Smith at RHS Bridgewater in Salford. “Beautiful as it is and Tom is a great designer, I felt that was an opportunity missed, because Tom doesn’t have a connection with that heritage,” he said. “There’s a lot of detail of what is deemed to be a true paradise garden, a mughal garden, that doesn’t exist in it. “Just because you put a central water feature with a rill going through it, doesn’t turn it into a paradise garden.” He added: “Salford has got a huge community from different backgrounds – such as Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi – and that opportunity, I personally think, was missed.” Walled paradise gardens trace their origins to the Persian Achaemenid Empire in the 6th century BC. Often considered the first gardens, they spread throughout the Islamic world in subsequent decades."

Watched Football Focus (sponsored by Black Lives Matter) for the first time in years. There was not a word about WHU getting to a European final. Instead they had 'highlights' of our 'girls' getting hammered by Chelsea. I despair.

"Adidas has come under fire for advertising a female-style swimming costume using a model with a penis. The swimsuit, launched as part of the brand’s Pride Rich Mnisi collection in collaboration with South African designer Rich Mnisi, is on sale in the UK for £50. The model, who appears to be male, is 6ft 2in. The move has prompted criticism from campaigners for women’s equality in sport, who argue that the use of a biologically male model for a women’s swimsuit creates unrealistic body expectations for women. Sharron Davies, former Olympian swimmer and the author of Unfair Play, a book critiquing the inclusion of biological males in women’s sport, wrote on social media: “Yet again a male gets paid to advertise a product that’s vastly aimed at women who are physically a different shape. “Adidas if you want to design a swimsuit for trans women, right on. They have different needs. But stop gaslighting women?” She added that women were “having all their descriptive words and rights eroded”."

"Obese patients cost the NHS twice as much as those of healthy weight, landmark research has found – with an average of £1,375 a year spent on each of the heaviest patients. The “first of its kind” study, presented at the European Congress on Obesity in Dublin, lays bare the costs of obesity to the taxpayer, as those who are not overweight only cost the health service an annual average of £638. The findings suggest that the NHS could save nearly £14 billion a year if everyone was a healthy weight. Experts warned that the full costs of Britain’s weight problem are still greater, with long-term sickness keeping millions out of work and crippling the economy. It comes amid pressure on the Government to tax junk foods, with the Institute for Government warning that “squeamishness” about such measures could mean voters face higher taxes. Two in three adults in the UK are overweight or obese."

"Slovakian MPs are under mounting international pressure to reject a bill that would see the country follow Hungary in effectively putting a stop to decades of legal gender recognition for transgender people. A vote is expected in parliament within days on a law proposed by conservative and far-right parties that would require someone to have the “correct” set of chromosomes to match their legal gender. Human rights NGO Amnesty International has joined the Council of Europe in appealing to Slovakian MPs not to back the bill, which they say is in conflict with the country’s obligations under the European convention on human rights. The change in Slovakia would follow a vote three years ago in Hungary that endorsed a new law defining gender as based on chromosomes at birth, meaning previous provisions whereby trans people could alter their gender and name on official documents is no longer available."

"Someone showed me this paywall squirrel site Just post the URL in the slot www.12ft.io IT worker sued boss who marked problems with ‘XX’ as she thought they were kisses Karina Gasparova also claimed use of question marks were code for asking when she would be ‘ready to engage in sexual acts’ By Telegraph Reporters 17 May 2023 • 2:29pm Alexander Goulandris, chief executive of essDOCS Alexander Goulandris renamed a file with his initials, AJG, which Karina Gasparova said was an acronym for “A Jumbo Genital” CREDIT: Financial IT/YouTube An IT worker sued for sexual harassment after her “rich and powerful” male boss marked parts of an email where he wanted more information with “xx”, which she thought were kisses. Karina Gasparova, a project manager, also claimed Aleksander Goulandris’s use of question marks in the same message were code for asking her when she would be “ready to engage in sexual acts”. ‌In a number of other “innocent” work-related incidents where she would find a “sinister motive”, Ms Gasparova thought him renaming a file with his initials AJG was an acronym for A Jumbo Genital. ‌Ms Gasparova took her employer, the paperless documents firm essDOCS, to the tribunal claiming sexual harassment. ‌But now a judge has thrown out her case ruling she has a “skewed perception of everyday events” and regularly misinterpreted “innocuous” interactions. The tribunal, held in central London, heard she started working at essDOCS, which is based in the capital, as an IT project manager in November 2019 under Mr Goulandris, the co-head and former chief executive. The panel heard Ms Gasparova told bosses she thought he wanted to have a sexual relationship with her, but was treating her badly because she had “rejected his advances”. She claimed this included shouting at her, undermining her in meetings with clients and removing key elements of work from her, although the panel rejected these claims. Ms Gasparova told the panel Mr Goulandris was a “rich and powerful man” so his conduct had not been “overt” as “a man in his position would be too clever” to make obvious moves. The panel ruled this meant her case “rested on interpreting seemingly innocent interactions” between Mr Goulandris and herself and “finding a sinister motive in them”. ‘A Jumbo Genital’ I‌ncluded in a string of claims which were dismissed by the panel, Ms Gasparova interpreted Mr Goulandris renaming a draft presentation file with his initials “AJG” in brackets as standing for “A Jumbo Genital”. ‌The same month, when Mr Gasparova asked her when a project would be finished, she told the tribunal he burst out shouting with an “extremely angry voice”, saying “I need date, date, date”. ‌Ms Gasparova interpreted this as having been asked “the exact date when I would finally agree on sexual contact with him”. ‌The panel heard later that month that Mr Goulandris had emailed Ms Gasparova asking for information on a project. To indicate what details he required her to fill in he used XX, YY and ???? in the message, written in red. ‌The tribunal heard she interpreted the Xs as meaning kisses, the Ys as sexual contact of some kind and the question marks as when she would be “ready to engage in sexual acts”'. ‌In April 2021, she submitted a detailed grievance, which saw all her sexual harassment allegations dismissed.‌ She appealed in May 2021 but it was again rejected, so she resigned. ‌Employment Judge Emma Burns said: ""Our primary reasons for rejecting her account of events were that we considered her perception of everyday events was skewed. “She demonstrated a tendency to make extraordinary allegations without evidence and she contradicted herself in a way that could not be attributable to a fallible memory. ‌“Ms Gasparova interpreted entirely innocent work-related conduct, some of it accidental, by Mr Goulandris as having a sinister intent.” ‌Ms Gasparova was also ordered to pay £5,000 to essDOCS in costs following her failure to comply in time with parts of the tribunal procedures."
