"I note with interest that a new documentary based on a book by Ben MacIntyre is to be screened soon. It's a programme slamming the British prisoners in Colditz as racist. The author takes great delight in claiming that Douglas Bader was a horrible human being who was racist and elitist. Many other claims about the British prisoners are also made especially one about an Indian doctor who was not allowed to join the escape committee. He also slams the film great escape stating that it glamourised British officers who were very racist. We are such a horrible race of people, I think we should apologise to Germany for winning the war and being so beastly and mean."
