Woke watch
"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

Re: Woke watch
"Debs What a strange question. I have no idea what Farage's balances were at Coutt's Willtell Yes, but that wasn't the reason given for the closing of his current account without warning. Of course, if Coutts and Co can show that every single remaining current account holder meets their terms and conditions for opening an account, all will be well. I seriously doubt if many Coutts & Co personal current accounts have a balance in excess of £1m. For one thing, one of their selling points is a facility that automatically sweeps current account balances into a savings account."

"This is where goose has just shown himself up.for being an absolute fraud. I have consistently openly criticised Corbyn on here and would not defend him for lying had he pulled the same stunt. Not a chance. You keep.throwing this accusation about that I celebrated the closure of farages account, and have been asked twice to.orove it and can't You are just embarrassing yourself"
Re: Woke watch
Surface Ok but it’s possible to run an overdraft and still meet Coutts’ terms and conditions isn’t it?

Re: Woke watch
Surf but isn't that because he should have also maintained 3 m of savings in a savings account he then moved that for whatever reason....thus leaving his account below the threshold.
Re: Woke watch
This thread and others she’s celebrated it. And if you wanna get into it the investigation into closing of accounts is ongoing so no proof of him lying. She’d be the first to be moaning if it were Corbyn getting his account closed down. Same as the thread were she’s wishing smithy well on leaving prison but doesn’t share the same sentiment for others leaving prison when it directly impacts her. Her moral compass is all over the shop.

Re: Woke watch
"Willtell 7:35 Sat Jul 8 There's opening an account. And then there's operating it. Clearly Coutts do not require a £1m minimum balance or they wouldn't have an overdraft charge in their terms and conditions. They would simply bounce any cheques that took the account below the specified minimum. And of course we have the evidence of William Sitwell, who confirms that he operated his account for years without meeting such a requirement."
Re: Woke watch
Side of Ham wrote... “Willtell Farage’s whole thing was I’m an MEP and you pay me to do fuck all…THAT was his point….” ———————————- Yes I know but seriously. If it was Keir Starmer saying that would you believe him? Would you have any sympathy for Starmer if he lied about being cancelled by snobby Coutts Bank? Or would you laugh about it?
Re: Woke watch
goose 7:28 Sat Jul 8 I looked back through about 15 pages on this thread and could only find where Debs was happy that Farage had been caught out lying. There wasn’t anywhere where she advocated banks cancelling people. So. You lied once again didn’t you? It’s a shame really because you have good points to make but not when you lie…
Re: Woke watch
"Surface These are the questions on Coutts’ website for an application for private banking. It clearly is a sound reason to cancel someone without that kind of cash as a radio jock. “Clients are required to maintain at least £1m in investments or borrowing (mortgage), or £3m in savings. Are you looking to invest or borrow a minimum of £1m or save £3m with Coutts?”"

Re: Woke watch
So some spotty Herbert cancelled his account? If that were true and he was able to.have an OD then surely the bank would have reinstated his account but instead their holding company Natwest offered him.sn account..Something they'd not have done if he was being blacklisted on political.grohnds.
Re: Woke watch
"Like I said earlier Will, read back and you’ll see Debs celebrating the account being closed down because she doesn’t like him. He’s not been at their designated account limit for years so let’s not pretend that was the reason. It’s a dangerous precedent that shouldn’t be cheered. If you bothered to read back you’d know all that instead of jumping in like the stupid old prick you are."

"Darlo Debs 7:14 Sat Jul 8 Now Debs, are you seriously claiming that one day the thought came fully-formed into your head, 'I wonder what the relative positions of the G7 economies are post-Covid. I know, I'll have a quick scout through the House of Commons library on the off-chance that there may be something there.' That blatantly didn't happen. Naughty girl."

Re: Woke watch
Willte.yes absolutely because .that kind of authoritarianism could work.the other way and pretty sure has done in the past.. in the case of NF though he was just caught lying. BRANDED had it right the other day pointing out how banks have no moral.authority to be acting as the social.conccienxe of the nation.

Re: Woke watch
"Coutts & Co's terms and conditions quite clearly state what they charge for an overdraft facility. Therefore the idea that a balance of £1,000,000 needs to be maintained is, by definition, untrue. https://www.coutts.com/content/dam/rbs-coutts/coutts-com/Files/private-banking/accounts/CouttsCurrentFID.pdf I suspect his account was closed by a very junior clerk with a grudge (I did that job at Nat West myself when I was about 17) and, as is the way of these things, as the issue hit the press and went up the chain of command, Coutts twisted itself into knots trying to avoid admitting one of its staff fucked up."
Re: Woke watch
You’ve got some front after lying this morning goose! However it is a massive concern that banks and other major institutions can and do cancel people that they don’t like because of their publicly held positions. Dictatorships follow these kinds of modern manipulating powers…

"If being a liar & a hypocrite then Debs and Pickle are getting their accounts closed down immediately. Or if you’ve got half a brain you’d realise it’s a massive warning sign. It’s not just Farage, there’s other cases being investigated. https://www.reuters.com/world/uk/uk-investigates-bank-blacklisting-people-over-political-views-2023-07-03/"

Darlo Debs 4:16 Sat Jul 8 You still haven't answered my questions. Why did you use such old data in your post? Where did YOU find the data? I presume you weren't idly perusing Hansard one day. Why did the publication you read the article in use such old data?
