The problem with Islam today, is not just fundamentalism, its the tolerance of fundemantal islam within the wider Islamic community as well as the weak, apologetic bowing to Islam by western political, media and cultural classes. From a Christian perspective, Mohammed is a false prophet, the bible is very clear on this. From a jewish perspective, Islam is another Abrahamic faith which copied most of the Jewish religious rituals at the time (many have since been phased out of Judaistic ritual). The problem comes from the Muslim perspective, which according to their book, all from other faiths much convert or be killed."

But secondly, it assumes every Sunni or Shia think and act the same. The bloke in your local kebab shop, who has a girlfriend and drinks, and Osama Bin Laden are both Sunni Muslims. They are hardly part of one homogenous group that thinks and acts the same."
