Woke watch
"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

Re: Woke watch
"Mim you're simultaneously spot on and completely wrong. I'm not sure I'd call all the grooming stuff with the Police as a result of being woke. That was pre-woke. If this had been girls who weren't poor and mainly in care/involved with social services they'd have done something. Police absolutely couldn't have cared less about them. They clearly didn't want to be called ""racist"" which was also unforgiveable but I think it was a slightly different problem to the rainbow cars etc which is what I think of when people say ""woke"". My point is about have enough staff. Painting a car rainbow colours, following up people about Tweets - it does make the Police look ludicrous. At the same time it has v v v minimal impact on time and resources of the Police. It has no impact on them being able to respond to a riot. It didn't lead to cuts of over 20,000 officers. Cuts in officers lead to fewer officers, leads to less time to train meaning they are indeed ill equipped to deal with most situations because they are thrown in at the deep end immediately. And riot police receive lengthy training that you have to go from level 1 to 2 to 3 over a period of years so regardless of WHO you recruit as a starting point, you can't suddenly get people with specific training immediately after they start work. Fitness standards have been dropped marginally though they were never high to start with. And it's largely to attract enough people regardless of the their 'group'. The police struggle to get good people and so fitness expectations are dropped in the hope of getting people in the door who aren't mentalists. Also H&P - the investigations (or lack of investigations) into grooming were nothing to do with lack of resources - that's nonsense. Certainly not at the start."

"Where’s Pointy when you have a whole load of drama queens getting all het-up because they have misinterpreted the meaning of a word? Jeez, no wonder the councils in question froze and were accused of political correctness. But I used the term social to describe the drama because it certainly wasn’t your personal tragedy however much you think it expedient to present the grooming in Rochdale that way. Social drama is what is happening in Ukraine and Gaza. Social drama is the years of neglect and shit government suffered at the hands of the populist Tories. Social drama is the thing you insist on playing the role of clowns in so much you make a total try-hard fist of even such a simple task. Fuck off you planktons."

"And the ‘key effect’ of “this media crap”, was to FINALLY get the police to actually fucking do something about it, years too late. Still, they do have a lot on their hands, in between stuffing Greggs, bullying the homeless and being at the beck and call of Tescos and Sainsbury’s."

"“Without checking I would bet they've lowered fitness standards” Looks like a fair few of them should be sponsored by Greggs. Pickle, a “social drama”? You’re unreal and an absolute prick for using those words. *awaits word salad and tiresome, pathetic ‘hot under the collar’ comment*"

You call the grooming and rape of hundreds of young girls a 'social drama'? You really are a special kind of repulsive.

Of course I’m gonna insult you - you are clearly oblivious about the key effect of the media crap you consume in this kind of social drama

"""Everyone with two braincells to put together gets this"" That does make me laugh. I'd ask him to explain his logic when he suggests the reactionary popular media were one of the biggest factors of the cover up, but we all know he'll just reply with some word salad with a bit of abuse tagged on at the end."

"Nice one Pickle - blame the ""reactionary popular media"" instead of actually looking at who did this and why they escaped punishment. There was a paper published by the government blaming political correctness from stopping the victims being protected. You're a fucking weasel of a man."

"Of course there was a cover up. Councils had plenty of resources in the late 90's when they were receiving reports of the grooming and abuse, as did the old bill. Try again fourpence."

Re: Woke watch
"But the biggest factor in the “cover up” was that the grooming cases were horribly murky and sensitive while the police were massively under-resourced to tackle them properly. That and the reactionary popular media just waiting to pounce, of course. Everyone with two braincells to put together gets this. You clearly don’t."

Re: Woke watch
"""I agree with your point re the woke nonsense in principle but the daily impact on policing is minimal"" Its not, it makes them a laughing stock and was a big factor in covering up of grooming gangs. Every week there are more viral videos of officers getting humiliated in ways that were unimaginable 20 years ago, their training and hiring wouldn't have allowed it. Without checking I would bet they've lowered fitness standards in order to recruit more women, for example. That's why this stuff is important, coupled with open borders scenes like the other day are the most predictable outcome. We could all see it, why couldn't they?"

"Seems like the UK could handle the number of prison places available to the anticipated planned population up until the mid-1990s. Had Tony Banks given the planners 10/15 tears advanced notice if his plans then the country may have had a chance of providing adequate infrastructure for all it's current population Add in the unknown who smuggled in under FoM before Brexit (who are now forced to take the highly photogenic route of dinghies across the Channel (the demand was always there, just satisfied out of sight). Authorities have served up - BETWEEN THEM - a right royal dog's breakfast that, for whicht they expect us to be somehow eternally grateful."

Re: Woke watch
"Mim Police have already nicked 20 and looking for another 20. The Roma who set bus on fire has been charged already and is locked up on remand. The stupid xxxx will get deported when he eventually gets out as the sentence will be long enough to mandate it. So yes police handled this the correct way given lack of riot police. Huge numbers of police, many of whom were level 3 public order trained, have left over last decade and not replaced. Those who were recruited are obvs new and don't have the years in the job to allow them to reach that stage. The idea that their woke activities are the cause of vacancies and lack of riot police is nonsense. It's down to the government 95%. I agree with your point re the woke nonsense in principle but the daily impact on policing is minimal."

"Who's responsibility is it to feed and house these people ""without a whole load of money and a well-paid job"" until/if they ever get on their feet and become a contributor to the running of the country? If they've got jobs to come to, then 100% of their societal costs should be covered by the employer, not delegated to the (general) tax payer."
