HandP No you're talking nonsense. Grooming gangs have been in existence since the 80s and in example of Rotherham continued at big scale until 2013. There was largely decent police numbers in that period. Plus it was not resource related that Police ignored this over a long period of time. It was a conscious choice. Police numbers started being cut in 2010. So you are categorically incorrect that over a 30 to 40 year period police numbers impacted on their decision making. Unlike lack of trained riot police in 2024 after over a decade of cuts to numbers and losing an army of experienced officers. These are two separate issues and time periods. Is that clear?
