I don't know much about O'Hare but doesn't he usually play in the hole? I think Lopetegui prefers a 433 so he might not fit unless he can also play well from deeper or wider positions.

I see your point Nagel... that's why I mentioned O'Hare on a free. He would be useful as one of the four you mention.

Not for just those 2 positions when we already have to enhance most of the back 4.

"We need a striker and a LW and ideally a quality backup for each, especially if we manage to move on Cornet and Ings. We won't be able to afford 4 top drawer players so might be better to get someone who can play both positions equally well, for which Gouiri probably fits the bill better than most."

"Happy for Tim to try Gouiri or Wesley but would want Rowe at Norwich aswell. Can play on the left or through the middle. Home grown, point to prove. Get him in"

"In answer to the question raised, namely what has to be done? We have an expert in Steidten now and a new manager they should have full responsibility for all transfer activity, Sullivan should stay well clear other than paying the bills."

"We obviously need a LW but so far seen us linked with: Amine Gouiri Brazilian Wesley Jota Silva Jack Clarke Callum O'Hare Jonathan Rowe Zaha Philogene Presumably 'smoke and mirrors' going on as presumably Steidten knows his man and will hopefully get him. I can imagine getting O'Hare in on a free as a useful squad addition and one other, though not Clarke hopefully.. don't rate him."

"Doubt he will find the right replacements for all that we need in one window, I,d be happy with 4, 2 center backs, striker and left winger. Means another year of Coufal and Soucek. Not sure if Paqueta leaves, I can see him staying another year. Im good either way. Im hearing En Nasyri is who he is after and Acuna but who knows."

"One thing for me that has to happen is keeping Downes at the club, we bang on about looking into the championship for players and we have one who is a stand out player in it most weeks, I’d rather flog Soucek than him personally."

"https://www.hammers.news/news/hammers-ruben-amorim-revenge-as-amazing-wonderkid-stalls-on-deal-because-of-west-ham/ According to a report from Sacha Tavolieri, Zeno Debast is stalling on a £13.7 million move to Sporting because he’s holding out for West Ham to come in for him. Described by Football Talent Scout as an ‘amazing wonderkid’, Debast really does have everything needed to make it at the very highest level of the game. Standing at 6ft 3in tall, the 20-year-old is an exceptional young defender and has been labelled as the new Vincent Kompany by ELF Voetbal. In 31 league outings for Anderlecht this season, the teenager has averaged 1.5 tackles, one interception and 4.7 clearances per game (Who Scored). Zeno Debast is powerful, strong in the air, tenacious in the tackle and is very good with the ball at his feet. He would be a tremendous signing for the Hammers."

Not having a pop at Lop here. But unsure how much his pragmatism was evidenced at Wolves. His squad was pretty big and filled with talent and decent back ups in most positions.

"Kehrer …. not quite a centre half, not really a right back Happy for him & the likes of Benrahma to be sold to add to the rebuilding pot The likes of Cresswell & Ings should have gone 12 months ago. I’d be looking to shift Zouma if his dodgy knee can pass a medical & Soucek to add some quality & mobility to midfield"

"... Can also see him having a look at the likes of Aguerd, Kehrer and Downes with a view to improving and keeping them, and also keeping Ings for another year as a good option as back up to a new striker."
